Poetry can give an insight to the soul of the writer. Or the reader. Poetry can touch on the feelings you don't want to admit to, and those you wish you could celebrate. On life. On time. On what it is to be you.
Here's Pieces of Me, a poetic intros...
A dream Product of a mind Wandering A quest to explore The maze of our thoughts
Be brave
Beyond the wakened realm Rules Laws Logic Cease to exist They become a swamp Clinging to your ankles Pulling you under
Tread carefully Be sure of foot For demons in dreams do dwell Demons with the face of a mother A friend A long deceased relative
Leave fear at the gateway They are not what they seem

Do you suffer nightmares?
What do you think they are? Messages from your mind? Warnings? The subconscious working through the day's or week's events? Or just the random meanderings of restless thought?
My wife suffers from bad dreams often. Possibly, they're due to her sleep apnea, but they can be quite disturbing. I wish I could take then away.
