"I dont really have the option to go balls out and be a complete badass. So that leaves my vote with going into hiding and figuring it out from there." I watch as Gemmas eyes waver between Harry and I before her feet start shuffling and shes standing side by side with me. "So that your votes?" Harry questions with uncertainty attempting to be hid in his tone. The two of us slowly nod our heads and look to one another. An uneasy feeling develops in my stomach and im praying that its the baby an not something about to happen. "Okay then its settled, the two of you are going to our lakehouse where everyone else already is. Ill book you flights on a commercial plane and then have my driver meet you at he airport and from there take you to the rest of the family where you all can lay low until I get this situated."
"Youre coming with us right?" Already knowing how Harry is, I know the answer to this question already. The thought of being separated from him now, after everything we've endured in just these short few hours terrifies the living hell out of me. "Tell me that youre just staying here to pick up our shit that was in the elevator and you'll be right behind us, Harry." The stone cold expression I receive tears right into me and I feel as if the breath has been knocked from my body. "No harry you cannot be alone in this, not after everything that just happened. I refuse to raise three kids on my own." Harry takes his bottom lip in-between his teeth and says his eyes away from mine. "Theres no other option here. You dont need to be dealing with any of this especially given that-' he looks around our surroundings and his eyes land on Gemma and back to me. "Given your situation. I wouldn't forgive myself If I willing put you into harms way and something happened that couldn't be undone. Im not allowing you to participate in any of this mess, situation or not, its not your battle to fight and I dont need to get any more blood on my hands than whats there." I listen in disbelief as he explains to me the decision he's already made for the both of us.
"Harry no youre not leaving me alone." I see the wheels in his eyes turning a mile a minute but shutting down as the seconds tick by. His emotions are turning off right before my eyes and there's absolute nothing I can say to reverse whats happening to him. "Ive already made my mind up Jayde, youre not staying with me its too dangerous. For Gemma too, she should've never been dragged into this." He takes Gemmas phone from her hand with no explanation and begins tapping away on the device. Several minutes pass before he gives her the locked device back. "Do you have your IDs?" Gemma points to her purse and I convinetly pull my license from my bra. A look of uncertainty passes through his eyes but he covers it up by running a hand through his matted locks. "Okay, okay. Ill call a driver up and youre leaving immediately."
"Where are going? You cant be alone." A sweet smile spreads on his pink lips as his arms open for an embrace and I gladly walk into it. "Im going to be okay alright? I already have some things set up with different people. Please dont worry about me, ill be okay, ill come back to you."
"Alive, unhurt, unharmed and endangered?" A hearty chuckle erupts from the pit of his stomach and Harry plants a kiss upon my forehead. "I can promise you that ill be alive and intact. I wouldn't come back towards any of you if I was still in danger or if I knew someone was gunning for me. When I come back just know that everything was handled, okay?" I nod but im not satisfied with that answer at all. Its too vague and leaving room for a plethora of questions and scenarios, ones that im not too sure id be able to stomach in this moment. "Okay." Are the only words im able to get out before my throat begins to close on me.
"The driver should be here any minute and I need to get going just as you both so we dont get caught." Tears begin to well up in my eyes at the thought of this possibly being our last time seeing one another for a while or ever. The thought scares me beyond words but I know right now isn't the time to freak out and have a mental breakdown. Harry hugs Gemma first and whispers something in her ear while looking over to my now sobbing self. Theyre embrace is quite quick and he moves to me. His arms wrap around my neck and he pulls me into his body. "Its okay Jayde, ill be back."
"But we dont know when though, Harry. You promised me you would be here this time." His chin rests atop of my head and I feel him nod. "I know, I did say that. But that was before we watched someone be murderd in an elevator just inches away from us." Replaying the scene in my head causes a chill to run down my spine as I relieve the horrifying moments. "Correction, I watched, you passed out." A light chuckle falls past his lips but he soon quiets down. "Youre right, youre right. I need you to stay strong for not only me but the kids when you get back to them okay. You dont need to be worrying or stressing out, especially with this little one. Ive already talked to our parents but if the kids ask tell them I had to go on a long business trip; anything further than that you can elaborate to the and make a sorry up but under no circumstances does anyone beside you and Gemma know about what happened tonight okay?" I softly nod and bury my head into his chest.
"You know I love you right?" Another nod. "Then you know that your best interests and the kids are at the forefront of all my deciosns and thoughts. Whatever decisions I make affects our whole family, and I take that seriously because I dont want to make any actions that could harm any of you."
"Youre harming my heart right now." I selfishly mutter but my words dont go undetected as I hear a short chuckle before it subsides. "Jayde, its either this or we risk everyone we love. Im not willing to drag anyone else through the problems I created."
"You didnt create this, that crazy bitch did all because you dont want her anymore."
"Yes but im the one that brought the crazy bitch into everyones lives, making it my problem and my problem to fix, alone. Okay." Just as his words conclude an all black SUV pulls up only feet away from us and a man dressed in a black suit jumps out. "Hey Cyrus." Harry daps this Cyrus guy up and he opens the back door. "You got my text and everything." Cyrus nods.
"Yes I did Harry, everything under control and I already have a few of my guys on look out. Well get them home safely, I can guarantee that."
"Ill believe when I see it." Gemma climbs into the back with on last wave to Harry and then the two men turn to me. "Baby you gotta go." Harry lowly whispers and walks towards the vehicle. "But I dont wanna."
"I get how you feel Jayde I really do, but right now is not the time to be doing this. Not with everything going on and they could be coming for us at any second. I need you to get your ass in that car in the car and listen to every word that Cyrus tells you and to stay safe. This is the only option any of us have even if its not the most favorable." As much as I want to sit here, stall and act like a complete baby over the situation, Harry right. The longer I sit here and sulk in my miserable misery the better chance we have at being caught which is something that could be detrimental to everyone involved given the event that had played out only hours ago.
"You be safe, I mean it Harry. I cant do this without you." He understandingly nods and takes me in for one last hug.
"I have burner phones to communicate with you and Cyrus along the way so you wont completely be in the dark okay. When you get with the family tell them everything is gonna be okay and nothing else alright." I nod as a tear drops from my eyes and slides down my warm cheeks. "I love you."
"I love you, Harry." With one last peck on the lips I pull out from Harry warm embrace and make my way into the black contraction to be hauled off to only God knows where.
I feel like I say this all the time now but lifeee has been so hectic lately and I have had zero time to update. This isn't he best chapter but its something so you all won't be left for months on end without another chapter. Thank you all for your constant support through all my unexpected hiatus' !
