"I cannot simply bust a move on the floor, can I? This isn't a disco?" asked Pyro, still getting used to her stilted and overtly formal speech.
"I'm afraid not, Miss." Spy (red) added.
"So be it."
And so, she and spy practiced steps to common ballroom dances that she was required to know. Luckily, she was familiar with tricky footwork such was necessary in order to escape ambushes and sneak attacks, and snipers and she had no issue with dancing.
"You're doing very well, ma'am," complimented spy (red).
"Why thank you! I've never done this much dancing before."
Spy sat on a nearby chair with his legs crossed, watching on with an slight twinge of jealousy as his protégé absorbed the steps like a sponge. She was good at moving, that was for sure. Normally a bit of a klutz at times, due to her line of work, she had the capacity to become incredibly strategic and coordinated once she focused enough. For a beginner, her dance steps were impressively put-together and confident. Spy saw this and wanted to take her budding skills for a test drive. Thus he stood, stretched, and suavely approached her.
"May I have this dance?" he asked softly, taking her hands into his in one smooth gesture.
"But of course, kind sir!" Pyro clearly found this at least slightly amusing, but was taking it in stride. She wasn't a sappy type of girl in the slightest, but she had to play the part perfectly.
And so, the two danced for a bit to a soft waltz. Pyro kept time and managed to keep up with her much more advanced dance partner.
"At the risk of sounding cliché," remarked red spy after they had concluded their dance, "you two fit perfectly in each other's arms."
Now, the Pyro was not easily embarrassed whatsoever. Things like jumping on top of a corpse whilst playing fake-guitar with an axe in public were done with zero shame. It was at this, this simple offhand observation that made the Pyro blush a stark crimson. Oh dear, if only she'd had her mask.
"Huh. You think so?" All of a sudden, the Spy was curious.
"I-I'm just a bit of a romantic," he admitted. Odd, though. The calculating, reserved mix bender was a "bit of a romantic"? Then again, the Pyro was proving to be capable of acting like a proper lady, the Spy snorted like a piglet while laughing, and, ostensibly, she and the Spy "Fit Perfectly in Each Other's Arms"! It was laughable! Utterly preposterous! It had seemed like the entire world was upside-down, inside-out, and backwards.
After all this they still haven't figured they are red since crystal is wearing her casual outfit which was pink and spy changed his suit into black which made him looked more like a servant.
