Chapter 9

" I've no words for this. " she stared stupendously the scene in front of her " you've done all this on your own. "

" yeah." he smiled .

On a small area on the flat rooftop of a building a sheeting was laid out in the middle along with few pillows and cushions on it. By its side votive candles were lit with rose petals sprinted around it. A tea tray was kept on the sheeting with one tea pot, sugar cubes and two cups. Both of them squatted on the sheeting.

" heres your tea madam. " Kevin said in a gentle tone.

" Merci. " Ariana replied.

" wow! You know French? " he said surprisingly.

" Nah. It's been a week living here so I learned few like, thank you as I just said. "

" good. "

" hmmm. You make really nice tea Kevin. I Suggest you to open a tea shop. People'll go crazy to have this. " she smiled.

" oh, that's a very new compliment. So if I will, wanna work with me in there. " he asked and they both started laughing and then after few seconds when they got over it Kevin said " oh one thing I forgot. "

" what? "

" max is throwing a party as he's engaged. So he asked me to invite you, Carl and Jessica. "

" oh wow thats great. Surely we'll be there. " she replied

After finishing there tea Kevin kept aside the tea trey and laid down on their back facing towards the sky, Glaring the constelation of stars which were twinkling in the dark blanket of the earth.

" I believe watching the night sky is the most relaxing thing. " she glared at the sky.

" you are right. It is. They make the stygian sky entice like when theirs darkness in our lifes we just have to wait for that one star to shine in it. " Kevin phrased.

" wow. That's a very good thought. Kev "

" thanks. "

" you know, when I was five I used to watch the stars with mom and dad. Just three of us together. " she half smiled and continued " but everything changed since they left. "

" what happened? " Kevin asked tilting his head towards her.

" my mom died when I was twelve and after four years dad also left me alone in this world. " she frowned and tears filled her eyes " I have gone through so many things in these past years of my life that everything feels so empty and cheerless. I think I've lost myself."

" then we are on the same page. I think. "

" how? "

" well, I lost my whole family in a house fire, my mom, dad, brother and sister everyone. I was saved as I was at my aunts house. "

" oh. I'm sorry. "

" that was not it. I faced ever ending problems after that. " he continued " it feels I'm a bad luck. Whatever happiness comes my way my bad luck washes them away. "

" I don't think that way. It's so pleasant to spend time with you. Whenever I'm with you I feel like I'm free of all the worries and problems. " she grinned at her.

He smiled back and said " and I think you are my lucky charm. Like half of my problems are solved since I met you. "

" thanks. At lest someone things that way about me as for years I've been treated as a problem creator. "

" did something happened? "

" Nah. You won't understand. "

" I will. If you wanna tell me. "

" just let it be. Let's talk about something else. It's now getting too emotional. "

" so...wait. " he stood up.

" where you going? " Ariana yelled to Kevin who was half way to the stairs.

" just wait there. I'll be right back ." he yelled while descending the stairs.

After few minutes he was back but not empty handed as he left, he carried a guitar this time. He squatted on the sheeting " wanna hear something? "

" sure. "

He started stringing the guitar and the song stringed them.

" you are really good at that. " she said as he finished the song.

" wanna learn. " and he smuggled a smile.

" okay. " she held the guitar.

" let me teach you. " he came to her side and held her hand with which she was holding the plectrum and made her stringed the guitar into music.

" wow it's really cool but you are amazing at it." she beamed and handed it to him.

"well thanks." he beamed and said putting forward his hand " wanna dance. " 

" sure. " she replied placing hers on his hand and they both got up.

" well I don't have any music player. here, but it could work. " he played a song on his phone and kept it on the sheeting. He held Arianas waist and she locked her hands round his neck. They started swaying along the beats of the music which was slow and tender. They looked in each others eyes and smiled as if they were alone in this whole world without any hassle. Swirling around along the song their feets didn't stop until they desired to. Though they don't understand the feelings that they have for each other but the moments like this have been bringing them more and more closer.

" everything's set for tommorow. " Max sighed  " did you invite Ariana and her friends? " he asked laying back on the couch in Kevin's living room and placing the bowl of popcorn on the table.

" yeah I did. " Kevin smiled.

" Now that you both are such a good friends and you are also planing to take this far so will you ever gonna tell her about that?  "

" never " he said in a serious tone and slouched beside Max on the couch leaning back and placing his head on the headrest of the couch " it will be good for both, me and Ariana, if this remains burried. "

" but one or the other day she'll come to know about this. "

" then let's wait for that day. "

" that day won't be a good one. "

" I'm not going to tell her anything and that's final. We'll never talk on this topic again. "
