" why it was necessary to take him along? " Kevin mumbled to Ariana.

" he can help us. "

" we barely know him and I don't feel good about him. " he mumbled again.

" Kev it's okay. We can trust him. " she said and sat in the car.

" I heard you. " Jacob piped from behind.

" don't you know it's bad to eavesdrop. " Kevin turned to Jacob.

" thanks for telling me. I didn't know that. " he said sarcastically.

" oh you-" Jacob didn't let him speak as he quickly opened the car door and sat inside and this inflamed Kevin a bit.

" Kev! What are you waiting for? Let's go. " she popped out her head from the passenger side of the car window.

" yeah! " he said and moved to the other side.

Four hours passed. Wheels of there car were still rolling on the grounds of the same forest. They had no clue of when they'll reach their. They were just moving in the direction they were told.

" this is it. " Jacob said " now move slowly their is a portal infront to mystic island. "

" okay. " Kevin said and moved ahead.

" I could feel strange about this place. " jessica looked out from the window.

" what? " Ariana asked turning her head to see Jessica who was sitting on the backseat and suddenly the ground started quaking and whether became stormy, all the dust and leaves started swirling around with fierce psithurism of the trees. It was only eleven in the morning but dark grey clouds were hovering above.

" what's happening? " Kevin yelped and stopped the car as he couldn't see anything because of the storm. It was not enough, a bolt from the blue hit their car. Everyone shrieked at that devastating scene.

After an hour Ariana opened her eyes and she saw that now the weather was calm and everything was normal and she wake everyone up as they passed out when the lightening walloped their car.

" I had a really bad dream. " Carl wobbled.

" me too. " Jacob said.

" it was not a dream. All that was real. Storm, flash everything. " Ariana stated.

" that thunderbolt was so wild that the car and us wouldn't have survived. " Jessica interpreted " but we are all fine and the car too. "

" maybe we are in the mystic island. "

" but this is the same forest. "

" I do- " Ariana was waded in by a thump on the roof of their car.

" now what's that? " Carl gulped.

While they were thinking as what it was someone peaked from the windshield. As they saw a wolfs head from it who was standing on the car roof they all shrieked in unison.

" move! " Ariana yelled and Kevin quickly moved the car causing the wolf above to fell on the ground but the problem didn't end their as now a pack of wolves were behind them.

" oh no! Kevin move faster they are following us. " Jacob cried out.

" I am. "

Kevin was driving fast but the wolves were still following. Good thing was that they were little far away.

" oh shit! " he suddenly applied the break " there is a huge hollow in the ground without any bridge. "

" okay I'll do something. " Ariana took out her wand and tried to fly the car but it didn't worked. She tried again but nothing happened.

" they are coming. " Carl yelped looking from the rear windshield of the car.

" jump! " Ariana suggested.

" but the distance is- "

" we don't have time. I said jump. " she cut in.

Kevin took the reverse gear knocking the wolves behind and speedily moved forward and jumped over that hollow to the other side. When Kevin stopped the car everyone moved out to breath as the car was emitting smoke.

" my brand new car! " he looked at it's distorted condition with scratches of wolves nails, broken door and punctured tire.

" you are worried about your car. We were about become food of those wolves. " Jacob hecked.

" now how we'll head on. " Jessica said.

" foots. " Carl pointed at his feet and Jessica gave him a look.

" I didn't understand why my magic didn't work. " Ariana was perplexed.

" because this is the mystic island. Don't you remember what Mr. Birkenhead said. " Jessica reminded her.

" oh! I forgot. "

" now we have to walk our way ahead. " Carl sighed.

" we should hurry up. " Ariana pulled Kevin who was busy staring his wrecked car. " get over it! I'll give you another one when we will be back at home. "

They took their bags and started striding into the jungle. As the time passed and they crossed half of it, forest became more dense. Earlier the path was straight and smooth but now it became rugged with some rocks here and there.

" we have been walking for two hours. I'm wabbited. " Carl puffed.

" c'mon Carl we have to cross it before sunset. " Kevin said.

" okay. " he agreed and they started walking again.

After walking for for thirty to forty minutes they reached near a river. Ahead nothing could be seen far and wide and except water. They halted to decide how to cross it.

" we have to arrange for a boat. Oh! We are useless without magic. " Ariana huffed.

" not really. " Jacob butted in " I can make a raft with woods and here we can found it easily and I have tools too. "

" that's great Jacob. " Ariana squeaked.

" thanks. " He smiled and said " well, you both can call me J also. "

" okay J. " Jessica smiled back.

" look how he is fluttering with them. " Kevin muttered to Carl " trying to please them. "

Kevin butted in there conversation " you will remain the same wheather they call you J or Jacob. "

" but it will sound good. " Jacob replied.

After cutting the woods they lashed them with the rope, all this took time but now they have raft to float over to their destination.
