" will you say something? Or be silent. " Carl asked Kevin who was sitting on the sofa facing him and Carl was seated on the ottoman.

" yeah. Umm... Please Don't mind. " Kevin said.

" what is it? "

" I know she's your friend and you care about her and I care too. I don't know what happened to her. First she said yes and then suddenly she changed her mind. I know she loves me too, I saw in her eyes or why she'll say yes in the first place. I just wanna ask if you can help? "

" I will. " Carl said.

" you will? "

" yeah. If you want to get back with her I'm with you. "

" really! "

" yeah. "

" okay. Now can you call her so we can talk. "

" yeah. " He stood from the sofa and knocked at Ariana's door " Ani! Wake up. "

As she came out of her room half in sleep she squinted at someone sitting on the sofa and when her eyes wide opened she recognized who that was " Kevin! "

" Ani. I wanna talk to you. "

" whatever there was between us all ended last night. You just......"

" Ariana! At least listen to him what he wants to say. " Carl intervened.

" okay only because you say. " she said and then turned to Kevin " Come inside my room. " and both of them scooted into Ariana's room and she closed the door.

" what do you wanna say? " She folded her arms around her chest.

He was not able decide as to from where he should start the conversation " I'm sorry Ariana. If you were offended by anything said yesterday. "

" yes I was. "

" I'm sorry. I never wanted to ruin our friendship. Please forgive me. " he paused and started again " Give our friendship a second chance. "

" Sorry Kevin. I can't. " she lied. Her heart wanted to say something else. She also want to confess her love to him but she can't. It was for his safety only.

" please Ariana.I never had a friend like you. I swear I won't say anything like that. I just want you to be my friend. "

" sorry Kevin but this can't happen. " she turned her eyes from him and started looking at the window. She didn't want him to see the truth in her eyes " I'm sorry. "

" okay if you don't want to give a second chance, I won't force you. " he said and then moved a bit to stand face to face with Ariana " but for the one last time, just for today spend the day with me, please. "

She couldn't say anything just looked down staring her shoes.

" just one day and from tommorow we will be strangers. " 

" I wa....but.. " she trailed off.

" please. I promise I'll never cross your path again. "

She nodded, still not looking sire try into his eyes.

" what is this place Kevin? " she asked still seated in the car staring since from the car window.

" I was thinking as to where to go today and this first place that came to my thought. I don't know what but there is something special in it. So, I want you to show this place too." he unbuckled himself and moved out.

As Ariana stepped out of the car the vista infront, dazed her. She felt nostalgic as it was the replica of the garden she had at home but this one covered a smaller area. She walked into with memories in her eyes, glancing and feeling each and everything there.

" isn't it beautiful? " Kevin asked.

" it's......... Exactly.....how? " she bumbled.

" you wait here I'll go call someone. "

She couldn't believe that how can be a place exactly like her father created for her in her city could be here. She was mesmerized touching everything there. She could feel the presence of her mother. She could see her tiny self running here and there.

" Ani! " Kevin called.

She turned towards him as she did the person standing with Kevin whammyed her. She became infuriated.

" Cherry! " the man standing beside Kevin said in a low voice with tears in his eyes. " After......so many.. years. " and he moved his steps to reach Ariana but she stopped him.

" No! " she cried out " don't come near me. "

" you two know each other? " Kevin was perplexed.

" I've been waiting for you since years. Talk to me. "

" you are no more my father. you died for me that day, when you left me. " she sniffed " Kevin let's go I don't wanna stay here anymore. "

" I never wanted that. Listen to me. " Albert trying his best to stop her but she was not ready to listen.

" Kevin! What are you doing? I said let's go. " she shouted.

" Ariana for once listen to your father. " Kevin suggest.

" you stay here but I can't. " she raved and scooted out.

She entered her house sniveling and without uttering a word either to Carl or Jessica she locked herself in her room and following her Kevin stepped in the house.

" Ariana! " Carl whumped at her door.

" what did you do? " Jessica lashed out at Kevin.

" I didn't do anything. On meeting Mr.Albert I believe he's her father she sprinted away from there. " Kevin explained.

" what! " Carl Jessica exclaimed together.

" she met Uncle Albert. " Carl verbalized.

" that's why she is vexed. " Jessica added " Kevin I request you to leave for now. You don't know anything about it. We'll handle this. "

" but she....."

" no ifs and buts. Please Kevin. "

" okay. " He left discontently. He didn't want to leave Ariana like this but he have to.

" Ani! Open up! Ariana! Talk to us! Please! " They started again. She opened the door after ten to twenty minutes of their bangings.

" what were you thinking by locking up yourself. " Jessica growled.

" on seeing him that incident started playing infront of my eyes. "

" Ariana don't think about it much. Just forget it. " Jessica calmed her down.

" but now you've met him and should ask for explanation. " Carl counseled.

" why would she do that? " Jessica retorted

" she deserves to know the reason " he delineated " she deserves to know why he left him. Their must be a reason behind it as he loved more than himself before that. Ariana am I saying anything wrong? "

" I don't know. " she darned.

Carl placed his hand on Ariana's shoulder and said " at least sought from him an explanation to clear any misunderstanding that may have grown at that time. Do you really think that a man who loves you would ever do anything like that without a solid reason. I've...."

" Are you out of mind Carl. He did what he wanted to and thete is no explanation- "

" will you be quiet for a moment Jessi. " He said cutting her off " look Ariana I've never said these things to you before but I'm saying it now because theirs an opportunity infront of you. "

She sat on her bed placing her palm on her forhead with a rotten mood " I need time. "

" fine. " Carl agreed.
