The three Mysticals

chapter 20

" this was easy. We got out this time without any hitch. " Carl smiled. As he said those words the the rocks started falling as if a tremor hit the ground.

" is it an earthquake. " Kevin gulped.

" may or may not be but what we can do now is, run. " Jacob spluttered.

They sprinted opposite to the door through which they have just entered in because now it was closed. All sizes of rocks were falling because of which cave covered with dust and if they stop they would die by getting burried under those rocks.

" look! Their is a way out. " Jacob pointed as he could see light  "oh! No, no, no! It's closing. Faster! " he yelled. All of them were trying to reach it sooner and luckily they did. As soon as they moved out than the door closed. They all were covered in dust and some bruises also because of the falling rocks.

" thank God. " Kevin sighed.

They were panting and slouched on the floor to rest and take in air.

" thank God! Everyone is safe. "
Ariana took a breath of relief.

" I will never gonna say that the complications have been ended. " Carl huffed.

" better store it in your mind. " Jessica replied.

After resting for fifteen to twenty minutes and filling themselves with oxygen and water they were back on there foots and ready to head further.

" guys we didn't saw this. " Jacob said standing on the edge of the ground on which they were. The place where the door ended them was just ten feet long and after that there was a pool of lava.

" oh no! " jessica took a deep breath.

" this must be a volcano. How we gonna cross this now. " Ariana placed her hand on her forhead.

" wait a sec. If it's a volcano then there must be it's opening too. " Kevin suggested.

" but for that we need to fly o..... "

" we can. " Ariana interjected Jessica " we packed our brooms also. "

" yeah. " she chirped and took out there brooms from their bags which can consume things even bigger than itself.

" Kev come with me and j you didn't brought yours so go with Carl. " she said.

Ariana sat astride on her broom and behind her Kevin too " hold me tight. Don't leave me no matter what. " Ariana ordered.

" never. " he said and locked his arms tightly round her waist.

" All ready? " Ariana asked.

" yeah. " they said in unison and  took their flight over that boiling lava. They fluttered straight in the air for few distance until they found the opening of the volcano and then with a speed ascended upward and got out through the mouth of the volcano.

" this is it. " Ariana looked at the gigantic door infront of her " this is the final doorway we have to pass I think. "

" yeah. " they all sighed but like the armed enemies hidden behind the bushes ready to attack, snags were on their heels to kill their every sigh if breath.

Soon a fog started glossing the door. All the faces were confused as what was happening. Then that fog took a shape of a person like a genie. On seeing that their jaws dropped.

" what is this? " Kevin said widening his eyes

" I am the guardian of the mysticals. " a heavy voice came from that foggy figure. " you cannot pass until I open this door.

Ariana stepped forward and bowed " my greetings to you, the great guardian. " and stood straight " I am Ariana Braxton, the last heiress of the royal kingdom. I'm here to get the mysticals. "

" you will get them back but you have to prove yourself. "

" how? " she questioned.

" you have to bring something for me. "

" what I have to bring? "

" so, are you seeing that? " he pointed his thick and large finger towards a tenabarous avenue to his right " where this road ends their is a crystal kept. You have to bring that. "

" I will. "

The guardian gestured someone but no one understood to whom and after a second it became clear. On his order roots of the plants appeard from the ground where they were standing and except Ariana those roots started spiraling their body from their foot to their neck.

" why did you tied my friends? " Ariana asked.

" because you have to do it alone. As they don't have the royal blood. Your friends will be in my possession until you return. Bring the crystal and your friends will be yours and so the mysticals. If you didn't return your friends will not see the outside world again. "

" Ani! You have to do this. Don't think about us. " Jessica said.

" this is the final step you have to take. You can't quit. " Carl added.

" I will do it. " she smiled and nodded and then turned to Kevin who was standing right beside her tangled by those roots " wait for me. " and she hugged him.

" I want to hug you back, but. " he shrugged " good luck. I love you. "

" best of luck. " Jacob said.

Ariana smiled and bid goodbye to all of them. She moved a bit ahead and then looked back at them and again turned towards her goal. She took a deep breath and walked onto that leaden path and then disappeared  in it's darkness.
