"Lenari and Alucard got into a fight, and Lenari took her own path, far away from her former companion." Is what the lst sentence says
He closes the book and stares at the ceiling. He doesn't get it, doesn't understand. Why would she want to find him if she walked away herself? He grabs the book and walks back to the library.
He opens the door and sees Lenari with a book in her hands, her eyes scanning the pages in a quick tempo. He closes the door as soft as possible, but forgets about her vampire hearing.
She looks up and sees the red book in Darien's hands. "How much did you read?" She asks while she closes her own book. "All of it."
She sighs, closes her eyes and stands up. "You shouldn't have." Is the only thing she says as she puts her own book back in the large bookcase right in front of him.
"But I did." Lenari wants to walk out but Darien stops her. "Why do you want to find him? The book says you walked away yourself." He asks.
She sighs. "That is none of your bussiness, kid. The only thing you have to know is that you join me in that car tomorrow and help me search him." She pushes him away and walks out of the large room.
He looks at the book in his hands. He thinks back to the horrible things they have done. They killed someone every night. Someone with the blood type they wanted.
He puts the book back and sits down on the chair in the middle of the room. Why would he have to come anyway? He was just a human. How could he help?
He stands up again. When he is almost out of the room he thinks about something. How could the author know exactly what happened? How could he know exacty how the two felt in curtain situations?
He grabs the book again and reads the name of the author.
Kelone Sebastian Rondel.
He pushes the book back and walks downstairs. He will ask Lenari about Kelone when they are alone in that car, but for now he wanted to rest.
He walks into the living room to see Lenari drinking some dark red liquid on the couch. He sits down next to her and sees that she is watching the news. Some woman is talking about stuff that is happening in Sweden.
Lenari just sips the liquid, without paying attention to the screen. "What's that?" Darien asks while pointing at the liquid. "Red wine." She replies.
"Really?" He asks. "No, ofcourse not. It's chicken blood. Don't ask stupid questions." She replies. The doorbell rings, but the two on the couch ignore it.
"You ask stupid questions too." Darien says. She shakes her head. "No I don't." She says. "You asked me if I had friends when we were on our way to school." He says with a snicker.
"That was not a stupid question," She says with a playful smile. "You don't look like the guy with friends." Someone starts laughing in the hall and Darien immediatly recognises it.
"Shut up Josh!" He shouts. Josh walks in with William right behind him. "Oh, did we ruin a moment here?" William says with a smirk. Darien now notices how close they are sitting next to each other.
He scoots away really quick and Lenari just laughs. Josh points at the chicken blood. "What's that?" He asks. "Red wine." Lenari answers. "Can I get a sip?" He asks.
"No." "Why not?" Lenari sighs. "Because it is not good for you." William raises his eyebrows. "Then why are you drinking it?" He asks.
"Guys, I am not sharing my alcohol with you." She says before drinking the rest of the blood with one big sip. "Aw, you party pooper." Josh says before sitting down next to Lenari. "Hey, if you get drunk-"
"Why are you here? I thought you were sick." William says. "Yeah, but my parents aren't home, so I came here." She answers.
Darien is impressed by how fast and easy she can lie, but then again she might be doing it for 700 years already. William nods, but Darien sees he doens't quiet believe it.
Darien is happy that the smart ass keeps his mouth shut for once. Lenari puts the now empty glass on the table in front of her. "So, what are you guys doing here?" She asks.
"We just wanted to pay our friend a visit. It is wednesday after all." William says. "Yeah, movie day!" Josh shouts. Lenari laughs. "I'll wait upstairs. I don't wanna ruin your 'Guynight'." She says while standing up.
"Darien, you can find me in the library." She says before walking upstairs. "So," Josh says, dragging out the 'O'. "What did you guys do?" He wiggles his eyebrows a little.
"Nothing, you fuckface. As I said, we are just friends." Darien replies. William chuckles. "What movie are we going to watch tonight?"
Lenari walks down and looks into the living room. She sees the three boys laughing on the couch, probably because of the movie.
She walks to the office of Graig- Darien's father- and opens the door. "Hello Lenari." He says without looking up from his papers. Lenari sits down on a chair across the desk.
"Putting that book in the library isn't the smartest thing when you don't want your kid to know about me." She says straight to the point. This time Graig does look up.
"He will never read it." He says. "But, what if he does?" She says shifting in her chair a little. "Again, he won't."
"How can you be so sure." A smirk forms on her face and Graig sees it. "Why ask?" She shrugs. "Just curious." She says before standing up. "Oh, and I won't be so sure about him not reading it." She says before exiting the office.
Graig watches her walk out before returning to his papers again. Lenari walks into the living room. "I will see you tomorrow, Darien." She says before exiting the house.
William and Josh don't need to know that she lives with Darien so she walks around the house and jumps on the roof to open her window. She lays down on the bed.
Tomorrow she will find him, and nobody will stop her.
Because if they do, the boy will die.
