A ray of sunshine that peeked trough the curtains landed upon Junhui's face. He opened his eyes as he looked trough the still unfamiliar room.
Sunday morning.. the first morning in his new apartment. The apartment he shared with Minghao..
Would he be awake already? He turned around to see it was just past 8 am. Quite a normal time to wake up for Junhui, but would it be for Minghao? Maybe it would be a bit unusual, because he was aware of the fact that he was earlier than most of the normal people.
But maybe, only if the younger wasn't awake already of course, he could repay him with a breakfast? Junhui thought he deserved at least something back, after helping him the whole day with moving all his belongings.
He quickly got up, as he tippietoed out of his room, staying in his pajama, knowing Minghao would be comfortable with wearing a pajama when he was around himself. Even though Junhui's Pyjama consisted more out of a hoodie with an old pajama pants, he still felt quite comfortable wearing it around Minghao.
Minghao wasn't awake yet and even if he was, he'd still lay in his bed right now. So Junhui took the opportunity to make his roommate a good breakfast. Which would depend on what was inside the fridge.
Sadly, the only thing he could find were eggs. So the choice of what he would make them was easily made.
Softly he started humming to a tune that had been stuck in his head while he was making some slices of bread, at the same time as he was baking the eggs.
"Hey you're up!"
Minghao's sudden voice scared him and he almost dropped the plates, he just grabbed from another drawer. He turned around to face the boy with messy hair and his kermit pajama's. Even though his heartbeat already picked up speed from the fact that Minghao scared the hell out of him, the familiar feeling he had around Minghao filled his stomach again.
"Goodmorning to you too!" He walked over to their kitchen table as he put down the two plates opposite of each other, nudging Minghao towards the table. "Sit down, I'm making you breakfast. "
Minghao chuckled upon hearing Junhui's words. "On what occasion you're making me breakfast?" He asked, sitting down at a plate, while Junhui grabbed the slices of bread.
"Just a simple thank you." He said, giving the younger a reassuring smile while sliding the eggs he made upon their bread, sitting down in front of Minghao afterwards. "Why can't I make you breakfast anyways! Maybe I'll do it more often."
A wide smile appeared on the younger his face as he took a first bite of his egg sandwich. "I wouldn't mind though, but I might get the feeling like I owe you something."
I wouldn't mind making breakfast for you, even if it was everyday...
"I just like to cook, that's all." Junhui said, also focussing on the food in front of him.
"Well.. You can sing, you can play piano, you're smart and now you can also cook. Why are you literally talent itself walking on two legs?" Minghao joked a little.
Even though Junhui laughed it off, as if he just told him a really good joke, he felt like he was internally dying. Minghao calling him talented would definitely be on his list of favorite things in life. Especially when he said it in that way.
"Tsss, it's nothing.." He tried to sound confident, but his hand automatically went up to the nape of his neck and he couldn't resist to shift his gaze from Minghao's face to something else. The fact he got flustered way too easily embarrassed him. But Minghao didn't seem to mind a single bit.
"Pff, nothing.. I wish I could say that.." Minghao whispered just before he stuffed his face with egg again. Junhui heard exactly what he said and he silently grinned to himself upon hearing the words. "Anyways, do you have plans for today?"
Junhui shook his head. "Not really, I was planning on watching this new movie, now I finally have more time for it. How about you?"
"Not much either, so I guess we have to watch that movie together." He said, adding a playful wink, which almost made Junhui choke on his last piece of egg he just casually tried to swallow.
The color of his cheeks must've turned a lot darker, since he felt all the heat rising up to his face. Minghao really needed to stop being this big of a flirt. Especially now they lived together, Junhui couldn't release his inner softie anymore. Minghao probably already figured he was a very soft hearted person, because most of the times he felt like he was way too obviously acting like a big softie.
Not that he should worry Minghao would mind, since he was the one wearing a kermit the frog pajama's...
Minghao grinned after seeing Junhui that stunned. He stood up from his seat, taking his and Junhui's plate and put them on the kitchen counter.
"Since we're not doing much today I hope you won't mind me staying in my pajamas today." He slumped over to the couch and covered his legs with a blanket, going trough his hair with his hand to at least look a little bit descent.
Junhui could only just stare at every single movement the gorgeous young man made, until Minghao noticed Junhui still sat there and he knocked on the spot right next to him.
"We're still going to watch the movie, right?"
Junhui shook himself out of his little daydream as he followed Minghao, sitting next to him on the couch. He left some space in-between them so he wouldn't made the younger feel uncomfortable, grabbing the remote to turn the movie on.
As soon as it started to play he looked next to him, only to see that Minghao was looking at him for the whole time. There was this one little jet black tuft of hair standing straight on his head, which looked ridiculously cute.
Junhui moved his hand up to pet it back, together with the rest of his hair, which was also still a mess. They kept their gazes locked for a few more seconds, until Junhui decided to break it and watch the movie.
His heart was racing inside his chest. Why did he had to do that?! But since Minghao didn't said a single thing about it and just stayed silent when it happened, Junhui figured he might not mind it.
"You're crazy, you know?" Minghao softly said, which made Junhui look aside again.
"Well thank you." He said acting like the younger hurted him.
"Don't worry, I like crazy people."
And with that they remained silent again, Junhui smiling to himself as he lay his focus on the movie he just started.
I like you too Minghao...
