 Chapter 25: Before The Wedding

Emalia's POV.

"Dear, we need to start getting everything ready. We only have so much time until it happens and we still need to plan out the guest list. Hurry yourself and pick out a bundle of flowers already!" Rosie hollers at me.

"Alright, alright. I'm trying, but they are all just so beautiful that I cannot seem to pick out which one I want the most. Can't I just have them all?"

"No, dear, Charles surely will not pay for you to have them a......."

"Oh, Rosie, you should know by now that I will pay for whatever Emalia wants. All you must do is add it to the list of plans already set for the wedding. I will take care of the rest, I asure you," Charles's voice comes booming into the room and suddenly I feel his arms envelope me and pull me into a tight embrace.

"Enough, Charles, you may not have your bride before she is your wife, now keep those hands off or rather keep them where I am visibly see them will you?" Rosie orders.

He pulls away from me, much to his displeasure I am sure. I find that I am rather displeased with it as well. "Oh come on, Rosie, he is not doing anything that is dishonourable, just let him ejoy his fiance's company. He will not be able to see me the day before the wedding, let him catch up for that time by adding in more time now."

She sighs, not just a small, slightly annoyed sounding sigh, one of those sighs that makes you think you should run because she is about to cut your head of sort of sighs. "Alright dear, but we do need to get those flowers picked out and you cannot pick them all because they simply do not all go together and that is that."

"Just let her pick out whatever she wants, Rosie, I will take care of all necassary expenses that may arise with what she wants for the wedding." Rosie simply nods her head as in to say, yes sir, right away, you will not be disappointed.

He runs his hands up and down my arms and then moves them up to my shoulders where they slowly move and massage the tense muscles there. "So, I see that all of the planning is taking maybe a little longer than expected because of Rosie's stubbornness about certain things?"

I only nod my head, enjoying the way his hands play my muscles and make the tension melt away, helping me to relax. "Well, just think about it, you only need to handle this for teo more days and then we will be married and the merging of our towns will begin and after that, we can both settle down. Maybe we'll have a few children, beautiful, lovely, wonferful children. Children that will have your eyes, your lips..."

"And your sense of humor," I cut in, a generous smile playing on my lips. "Oh, how I love your sense of humor, I hope that each and every one of our childrens aquires it. It is a very good...hmmmm... what should I call it? A skill? Sure, a very good skill to aquire, especially at a young age and you," I kiss his lips gently. "Will be the one to teach them of such humor."

I turn around to finish picking from my choices of foods, desserts and a large assorment of different coloured decorations for the house. "I hope you finish soon, Emelia, I want to have dinner with you," he slumps and I can see the playful glint in his eyes.

"Oh, poor poor little, Duke Charles, whtever will you do if you have to eat dinner alone for once," I pout at him, "Surely it will be the death of you, no?"

"Enough poking fun, you little flower, I need a kiss and I know just where to get it." He wraps his arms around my stomach, lifts me into the air and I squeal, not quite getting used to the feeling of floating.
