My eyes flutter open. I don’t know where I am, but it’s small and dark, and I see two red shining lights. I think it’s a trunk. I look for a way out; maybe I can do something with those lights. I think back to all the movies I have seen, books I have read, all of it. I then remembered a movie called, “The Call.” It said that if there was access to the headlights, I can kick them out. I did so and saw I was on the highway. I stick out my arm and hope the car behind me sees it. The driver in the car behind me took out their phone and called someone who I hope was the police. The driver rolled down their window.

“What’s your name?”

“(Y/N), (Y/N) (Y/L/N).”

She repeated my name into the phone.

“Don’t worry (Y/N), helps on the way.”

“Thank you so-”

My words were cut off when the car swerved off the road and into a tree. Alarms went off and I was put into an ambulance and sent to the hospital.

“Miss, miss are you okay?”

“My stomach hurts like crazy.”

“Do you know your name, any boyfriends?”

“My name is (Y/N) (Y/L/N). My fiancé is Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, where is he?”

“He’s in the waiting room.” I placed a hand on my stomach and searched for any signs of the baby, there was none.

“My baby! Is my baby okay?”

“I’m sorry, the impact caused a miscarriage.” I started to cry.

“Does Felix know?”

“We waited till you got here to see if you wanted to tell him, or if you want us to.”

“I’ll do it.” The nurse left and came back moments later with Felix.

“Felix, w-we lost the baby.”

Felix’s eyes started to tear up. He wrapped his arms around me.

“Are you okay?”

“The doctors say it’s just a broken arm, I can go home once they put on the cast.”

“(Y/N), I’m so, so, so, so sorry. This is my fault, I never should have left you.”

“Felix, you went to the bathroom, there was nothing you did wrong. This is not your fault.”

“Ms.(Y/L/N)?” The doctor interrupted. “The man that tried to take you, his name was Michael Thomas. Did you know him?”

“That was my ex-boyfriend. Where- where is he?”

“He died on impact.”

“Can we go home?” Felix butted in.

“Yes, you just need to sign papers. If you’ll come with-”

“I’m sorry, but I’m not leaving her side again, can you bring the papers in here please?”

“Of course.”

Felix held my hand until the doctor came back in with the papers. He signed them, and we went home.
