Picking up Pugs

I awoke to the aroma of pancakes. I walked into the bathroom to make sure I didn’t look too bad. I ran a brush through my hair and went into the kitchen.

“(Y/N), today I’m going to pick up the pugs from Marzia’s place, I was wondering if you wanted to come with.”

“Felix, where you go, I follow.”

He kissed my head and handed me a plate of pancakes.

“I didn’t know how you ate them, so I just did it the way I eat them.”

“Felix, you didn’t have to cook for me. You have already done so much for me over the past few days”

“You saved my life three times, I owe you.”

“You don’t owe me anything Felix. I only saved you twice, when did the third time happen?”

“You saved me from the three men, your ex-boyfriend, and you saved me from myself. After Marzia cheated on me, I wanted to die. I wasn’t thinking strait. I thought I had just lost the one person I would ever love. Boy was I wrong. When those men were about to kill me, I thought that this was my escape, I could be free. But you saved me, you made me realize that something bad, could lead me to something better than I ever thought possible. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I’m more than happy to be able to call you mine.”

I put down the pancakes and ran up to Felix, wrapping him in my arms tightly. My vision was blurred with tears. I never thought I could help anyone with anything, and here I am hearing that I saved my idol from a life of pain and agony.

“Felix, even if we break up, you will still go down in history as the man who could cheer me up, regardless of the mood I was in, and you were the first man who actually gave a shit about me. That is worth more than anything.”

We picked up our food and sat at the table and ate. When we finished, I put on my red, anime pewdiepie t-shirt and black leggings. I took my hand in his and walked to his car.

“Ready to meet Puga-chan and Edger Allan Pug?”

 I giggled at the remark. I never thought I’d hear the cutest youtuber ask if I was ready to meet the cutest dogs in the world. We stopped at in front of an apartment. Apparently, Marzia moved in with a friend because Felix was the legal owner of the house. Felix got out of the car, but gestured for me to wait in the car. He took out his phone and called Marzia. When he was done, he walked to my side and opened the door for me. As I stepped out, he placed his hand on his hip, indicating to wrap my arm around his, which I did happily. We walked to the front door and out came Marzia.

“Who’s that?” She asked rudely gesturing to me, a look of disgust across her face.

“She’s my girlfriend.” He replied harshly.

“Wow, it took you a week after our breakup to get a new, ugly-” She paused not knowing what to say. “thing.” Ouch, that hurts. I was furious.

“You were still dating Felix when you found my ex. Have fun with my sloppy seconds.”

“Wow Felix, this one is feisty.” A look of anger crossed Felix’s face.

“Stop! Just give me my pugs!”

Marzia went back in the house.

“Felix, I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have responded to her. I just got mad and overreacted.”

“It’s my fault for bringing you here. I should have known she would pull this shit. Believe it or not, she is actually the jealous type.”

I hugged him and kissed his cheek just as Marzia walked out. She cleared her throat to get us to stop. We looked up to see her hold out her hand holding two adorable pugs on leashes.

“Here.”

I wanted to make up with her. I mean, I did almost kill her boyfriend. No matter how much pain someone inflicts, they don’t deserve to be yelled at like I had done to her.

“Marzia?”

“What!”

“I just wanted to say that I’m sorry for what I said. I shouldn’t have been so rude to you. I was just angry.”

“I’m not. You got with him just for his fame, admit it. I know how you fangirls work, it’s not real love. It’s just to say ‘hey, I’m dating the most popular youtuber.’ Or, ‘hey, can we do a video together to increase my channels popularity?’ It’s pathetic.” A look of anger crossed Felix’s face. He took my hand possessively.

“Bye, Marzia. Let’s go (Y/N).”

We took the pugs in the car, and drove home.
