8. ch. The start of something new

Kageyama's POV:
The bell rang, I practically ran out of the school building. I saw Hinata and greeted him. "H-hey.." I waved a little, trying to look more relaxed. While I was struggling to keep up my 'cool composure', the truth is that I was really nervous. I heard a soft whisper coming from Hinata: "Hi..." I looked down at him, he was looking at the ground, fidgeting with his hands. Ha... so he's anxious too. I'm glad that it's not only me. I got onto my bike. "Shall we?" I turned to smile at him gently. "Yeah.." He smiled back awkwardly. So cute. I started to ride the bike. Hinata grabbed my back and hugged me lightly to prevent falling off. A warm breeze was washing my face and sun was shining, it was going to start setting soon. We drove in silence, I wanted to say something, but everytime I tried to, nothing came out of my mouth. So I just continued to drive. We can't keep doing this. We have to talk, for the sake of us both. I started stopping the bike, earning a questioning glare from him. " H-Hinata, can we talk?" I see him nodding in agreement. I gulped, aw man this is going to be awkward. "A- ab- bout what happened yesterday.." I see Hinata tense up. "If.. you didn't like it... or don't feel the same way about me, I'll understand. You don't have to force yourself. " I looked away, I was afraid of his answer. I was met with silence. "I.. understand. " I guess I was wrong about him liking me, I wanted to start driving again, but Hinata interrupted me. "Where did that come from??" He sounded angry.. "Of course I feel the same way! I kissed you back, didn't I?" I finally looked at him again. "I like you, more than anyone! I wasn't talking to you, because I was nervous! I didn't want to mess anything up.. It's my first time liking someone. " Now it was his turn to look away. He was a blushing mess, just like me. "You don't have to be afraid of messing anything up." I made him to look at me, gently of course. "It's my first time too, you know." I blushed even more. "We're in this together. " I see his face lit up. He starts to giggle and soon enough, I join in. The whole ride to Hinata's house we laughed and talked. When we finally arrived, it was already dark. "Bye Hinata." I was about to start walking away. He grabbed my hand. I felt his soft lips touch mine, we stayed like this for a minute. "Take care!" Hinata smiled. I grinned back. "I will." I started to drive home, humming to myself. I have a feeling that everything will be fine, even if we don't have any experience. We're in this together.
