FROM WHOM THE BELL TOLLS

STEFAN AND DAMON WERE in the car. He was flipping through old pages of his journal, and Damon was driving. "March 12th, 1922. I blacked out for days. I woke up with a stranger's blood and woman I don't remember." "I feel alive again," Damon said, interrupting him. "All right, that's enough. I think I've read enough." "Nada?" Damon asked, placing his hands on the driving wheel.

"I know 'nada' means nothing. I know what day it is, I know what year it is, I know this car has V-8 engine, and yet I am in two journals deep, and I have absolutely no memory of who who the hell I am."

Stefan let out a frustarated groan. "Well..." Damon started. Stefan takes a sip from the blood bag. "And, this is supposed to fill me up?" Stefan asked, mentioning to the blood bag. "Well, yes, and no, technically, yeah, because you're a vampire Stefan."

"Weird." Stefan said.

"Realistically, no. Because you're, you know, you."

"Ahh yes. The insatiable blood-lusting vampire, Ripper of Monterey." "And we're only in the 1920's, baby." Damon said. Stefan unrolls the window down to toss away the blood bag. "Well, Sorry, but this is a lot to process." Stefan said. Damon grabs the bag from him and throws it to the backseat. "You're a vampire, not a caveman." Stefan rolls the window back up. "So, let me get this straight. I helped you steal this car, I found out I was a vampire who killed his own father, and yet, I don't litter?" "You're a man of a principle, Stefan, who had his memories wiped out by a 2,000-year-old which which probably drives a little faster than you. Wait. Let me guess," he patted himself. "Fun brother," then he patted Damon. "Safe brother." Damon chuckles and hits the gas pedal. "What are you doing?"

"Do you trust me?"

"Do I really have a choice?"

"Nope." Damon pulls the emergency break and it makes the car go slide off the road. The car flips around multiple times at a fast speed and it's totaled. A few pieces on the road are on fire, and Stefan and Damon lay on the road, outside the car. "Oh, oh," Stefan chuckled, and Damon did as well. "I got it. You're the fun brother." Damon chuckles. "Yeah."

Elena was on the phone with Caroline while Aria was walking beside her. "I figured out if I could get close to him, I.e. into his biology class, maybe could figure out why he covered up our roommates murder by a vampire, and it's also possible that I have a study buddy that isn't Aria." Aria narrowed her eyes.

"Rude." Elena looked at her with a smile, kissing her on the cheek. "All right, well I'll talk to you later." El said, hanging up the phone with Caroline. "What'd she say?" Aria asked, folding her arms. "Nothin' much. She's with that guy Jesse." Aria laughed. "Of course she is." She smiled.

Aria and Elena walked to the bar where Stefan and Damon were doing shots. "And here I thought catching up on nearly two centuries would be a drag." Elena said, perking up with a smile. "Oh, twins," Stefan said, looking at the two. He looked at Aria, smiling. Her smile fell, and she looked at the ground. "Remind me of your name again." He looked at Elena. Elena looks a little hurt as well. "Elena," Elena said, as she smiled. "And..." he looked at Aria.

"Aria." She paused, licking her lips. "You haven't told him about me?" Elena and Aria asked at the same time. Aria licked her lips nervously, glancing at Elena who glanced back at her. "200 years is a long time."
