Aya Weathers
Last night did not go as expected. For one, I'm sore as hell because playing Twister with two other adults is not healthy. I got crammed into a closet with those same two adults during hide and seek because Chris dumb ass ain't want to hide alone.
Aside from all the physical difficulties, I constantly sensed tension between Shayla and Chris. They were always glaring at each other. I couldn't keep my attention on one without the other getting impatient. Safe to say, the jealousy was inevitable.
I'm not gonna think too much of it though. I don't plan on being in another relationship, and God knows I'm not getting back with Chris. I'm barely even his friend, I'm just not ignoring him as heavily as I was before. He's still blocked though, don't get it twisted.
"Figured I would find you here." Chris said as he came into the studio. I blew smoke out of my mouth and only moved my eyes to look at him.
"You were looking for me?" I asked, eyeing his apparel.
"No. I was just thinking about you on my way here, and the thought that you were also here came across my mind." He shrugged and took a seat across from me. I nodded and closed my eyes, taking a long drag from the blunt.
"Never expected that you would start smoking," He spoke up as I felt him take it from between my fingers. "You got it all wet."
"I wasn't exactly sharing, so I should be allowed to get it as wet as I please. You chose to take it from me." I glanced up at him to see him french inhaling the smoke. I watched, almost mesmerized by how natural he looked.
"You working on anything?" He asked, his eyes low.
"I was trying to brainstorm, but I don't have much inspiration." I told him truthfully, taking the blunt back from him.
"You remember a while back when you asked me to look into auras and I said no?" He asked. I slowly nodded. "Well I did look into them. I just didn't tell you because you were being irritating."
"You come up with anything?" I mumbled.
"Come on." He motioned with his head for me to follow him. Sighing deeply, I lifted from my spot on the couch and joined him in the recording booth, taking a new seat across from him. He played a guitar instrumental that took a while to actually get to his singing.
"I think that we should listen to all of the signs that this love provides. We know all is forgiven once you hear the truth from me and not the lies."
Nothing else was said as the beat dropped intensely. I glanced at him to see his mind elsewhere.
"That's it? That one little verse?" I questioned with a heightened eyebrow.
"I got distracted." He shrugged and took the spun around in the chair with his head tilted towards the ceiling. I stopped the chair from spinning with my foot and pried open my laptop.
"What did you learn about auras?" I asked him while chewing on my bottom lip.
"It's like a key to the soul. An aura is like an expression of character through colors. The vibe someone gives off can be described as an aura. Everybody holds their own, sometimes new ones can be formed between two people." He described it exactly the way I wanted to hear it.
"And why did you wait till now to provide me with this?" I crossed my legs and looked at him in confusion.
"You wanted to be stubborn, so I was stubborn right back." He looked at me with an expression that was unreadable, his eyes low as he brought the blunt back to his lips.
