"Ken, can you do me a favor and go get me the thermometer and some ginger ale out of the kitchen?" I asked her as I lied on the couch. She nodded and hopped off of the couch, running to the bathroom.
I've been feeling a little nauseous and my allergies are fucking me up. Chris is supposed to drop by in a bit with some soup and orange juice, and to bring Ro over for a play date with Kenya. The two of them are like the best of friends now, which gives us more excuses to hang out.
"Here you go, Tete." She handed me the bottle of Canada Dry and the thermometer.
"Aw, thank you, pumpkin." I blew her a kiss, just in the series of unfortunate events that I was sick and would get her sick by kissing her cheeks.
I placed the thermometer under my armpit and took a sip of the ginger ale, hearing a knock at the door. Chris entered with two bags in his hand and the items in them were visible. Royalty rushed past him and hugged me tightly.
"I love you, Yaya and I hope you feel good!" She yelled in my ear, waking me up. I hugged her back tightly, chuckling.
"Thank you, baby girl."
She hopped off of me and her and Kenya ran up to her room. The sound of the thermometer going off startled me a bit. When I looked at it though, my temperature was normal.
"Well, no fever." I sighed deeply and tossed the thermometer onto the table.
"Maybe you just need to eat something." He told me, kissing my cheek.
"I don't really have an appetite to eat anything." I pulled my lips to the side. Chris lifted my legs and took their place on the couch.
"Anything new with you though?" I asked him, closing my eyes as he ran his hand up and down my calf.
"Nope, not really. I hope you get better soon so we can get in the studio." He pressed his thumb into my foot, relaxing my nerves.
"You got something for me?" I opened one eye to look at him. He nodded and took out his phone from his pocket, going to a file. A sample of a voicemail started to play, confusing me.
"Who the hell is that?" I furrowed my brows. He just chuckled.
"12 o'clock on the dot, 'bout to pull up on my boo thang. It's hump day, but I'm staying through the weekend. I'mma put that work in. Babygirl told me practice makes perfect, I'm tryna lick her in cursive. She told me she got a surprise, waiting for me before she let me eat it."
"Alright, it sounds good. When I get time, we can work on it some more. But still, who the hell was that?" I questioned.
"You don't recognize your own voice?" He looked around for the kids. "You know you like to suck my dick when you get high." He said in a low tone. I gasped, embarrassed for myself.
Am I really like that? That's actually really funny.
"I ain't complaining." He bit down on his lip and kissed my leg.
"Uhnt uhnt, don't start."
"I won't, I won't."
My phone began to ring on the coffee table, causing me to roll my eyes. I glanced over to see that it was Tony. I picked up the phone and answered the call, holding it up to my ear.
