"And whatever you do, don't stare." Han warned.

Rey raised an eyebrow quickly glancing at Finn who was already looking at her, confused, "at what?" They asked simultaneously.

"Any of it" he dead-panned as  the doors opened.

Walking into a loud, crowded mess of a hall, Rey found that not staring was almost impossible. Music, madness and chaos surrounded them as they pushed past a room full of rough, odd aliens and humans.

"Han Solo!" A feminine voice echoed and the room suddenly went silent. Rey searched for its source. Following Han's  stare, she was met with a tiny, four foot tall female alien wearing adjustable goggles. She could only guess that it was the friend Han mentioned back on the falcon.

"Oh boy." She heard Han whisper under his breath like a deer caught in a healight and turn around slowly, waving his hand, " hey Maz."

Maz walked to them, pushing someone on her wa, "where's my boyfriend?"

"Chewie's working on the falcon."

"I like that wookie. I assume you need something. Desperately. Let's get to it." She motioned for them to follow her. Straight to the point. Rey smiled at that. With Finn by her side staring wide eyed at the scenery, they followed Han and Maz still confused.

They sat around a table as maz served some weird food that Rey had never seen before.

"A map to Skywalker himself?" Maz asked as Han nodded eagerly, "you're right back in the mess." She shook her head and Rey could see a smile forming.

"Maz, I need you to get this droid to Leia," Han said desperately.

"Hmm. No. You've been running away from this fight for too long, Han. Nyakee nago wadda. Go home!"

"Leia doesn't want to see me." His head hung low as he shrugged

"Please, we came here for your help." Finn begged as Rey asked, "What fight?"

Maz looked at her intently,  "The only fight: against the dark side. Through the ages, I've seen evil take many forms. The sith, the empire. Today it's the first order. Their shadow is spreading across the galaxy. We must face them. Fight them. All of us."

"There is no fight against the first order!" Finn snapped, " Not one we can win. Look around you. There's no chance we haven't been recognised already. I bet you the first order is on their way right-" he stopped talking as he noticed Maz adjusting her goggles, scrutinizing him.

"What's this? What are you doing?" He asked utterly confused. She adjusted her goggles again, her eyes getting impossibly bigger. She grunted in recognition. Then she hoisted herself on the table and made her way to Finn, knocking some food over.

"Solo what is she doing?" Finn turned against the pilot who shrugged, "I don't know but it ain't good."

"If you live long enough, you see the same eyes in different people," Maz explained, "I'm looking at the eyes of a man who wants to run."

"You don't know a thing about me. Where I come from. What I've seen," Finn spoke keeping his eyes on her, "You don't know the first order like I do. They'll slaughter us. We all need to run."
