Chapter II: Attack Of The Clones

10 years after the invasion on Naboo, Padmé Amidala was no longer queen. Though she wanted nothing to do with politics, the new queen insisted and Padmé couldn't refuse her, taking up the position of senator. Though it granted her power, the position also put her life on the line. Obi- Wan and Anakain were assigned by the jedi council to protect her. And after all the years he spent away from her, Anakain has never been so nervous. Padmé lit up a fire in him that he could never put out. And ten years later, the thought of her stirred an undeniable delight in him.

It amused Obi- Wan to see his apprentice's nervousness to be around the former queen. But at the same time it worried him. The reason the Jedi were not allowed to have attachments was the pain they brought along. Pain was a threat to all that the jedi represented. Pain meant anger and anger meant awakening the darkness inside. And although he hated to admit it, Anakain possessed too much darkness in him. It terrified him. Regardless of what the young padawan went through, he remained good. And yet he couldn't help but allow his emotions to control his actions. And that itself opened the door ajar for the darkness to waltz in.

The two Jedi thwarted another attempt at Padmé's assassination narrowly saving her life. They subdued the assassin and found out that whever wanted the senator dead happened to be a bounty hunter. Obi- wan, instructed to discover the identity of the bounty hunter, instantly started his mission trying to track down a planet called Kamino. Meanwhile, Anakain had to -not that he was complaining by any means- escort the senator back to Naboo in order to ensure her safety. They shared a kiss but Padmé ended up pushing him away.

Unable to hide his feelings anymore, he confessed his love to her. Padmé at first resisted due to her position as Senetor and Anakain's as Jedi. His attempt to woo her were cut short with the troubling visions he had of his mother, shmi, being held held captive and tortured. He decided to head back to Tatooine to look for her. Padmé insisted and accompanying him and together they began their search. Watto revealed he sold her to Cliegg Lars who freed and married Shmi.

Upon his arrival, Anakain learned that his mother was abducted by Tusken Raiders and that she was most likely dead. Following his heart, Ani believed her to be alive. He snuck into the tusken campsite and founds her still alive. But after he freed her she died in his arms. In a moment of blind rage, he massacred the tribe. He then confessed to Padmé  about what he'd done and promised he'd never allow his loved ones to ever be in harm's way. For a moment she felt like she was looking the darkness in the eyes. But for some reason it didn't scare her. If anything, it flattered her. He didn't hide from her. And that made her question her previous decision.

Meanwhile, Obi- Wan discovered on Kamino an army of clones being produced for the Republic in the bame of a deceased Jedi's name, with bounty hunter Jango Fett serving as their genetic template. Obi- wan instantly deduced Jango to be the man after Senator Amidala. He managed to place a tracker on his ship as he escaped along with his clone son, Boba Fett. He then preceded to follow them to Geonosis where he found count Dooku along with Nute Gunray developing a droids army and planning an upcoming war. Obi transmitted the discovered infirmation to the Jedi council after he sent a help signal out for Anakain. But he still got captured by separatist droids. Back on Coruscant, senate representative Jar Jar Binks proposed a vote to grant emergency powers to Chancellor Palpatine who allowed the clone army to be authorized.

On Tatooine, despite Anakain's hesitation, Padmé insisted that they rush to his rescue which resulted in them getting caught by Jango.Count Dooku sentenced the trio to death. On the verge of death, Padmé confeesed her love to Anakain. Lucky for them, they were saved by a battalion of clone troopers led by Yoda, Mace Windu and all the Jedi of the council. Windu beheaded Jango during the ensuing chaos while Obi- Wan and Anakain followed Count Dooku to stop his escapade. The three of them engaged in a lightsaber battle that ended with Obi getting injured and Dooku severing Anakain's right arm. Yoda intervened and defended them but Dooku distracted him using firce powers and fled back to coruscent where he delivered information about a super weapon to Darth Sidious.

As the Jedi acknowledged the beginning of the clone wars, Anakain was fitted with a robotic hand and secretly married Padmé on Naboo with C3PO and R2 as witnesses.

The couple lived in happiness too caught up in their love for each other. But the shroud of the dark side has fallen and the darkness in Anakain fights to rise to the surface. Would Padmé's love for him bring the balance he was always desperate to find or would it wind up being the reason of his destruction?
