I picked Name up, and she allowed me, she snuggled into my chest andrelaxing perched on my lap like it was the only place that she wantedto be and was more than happy to stay. Like it was the only place shewanted to be. "My darling Name," I whispered, I couldn'tkeep the words back anymore, "I love you." She went stock still,so different to the first time I had said those words to her in herprevious life.

Before she had looked at me with wide eyes, looking as if she couldnot believe it, before a big grin had taken over her face and she hadjumped into my arms and had kissed me cooing and crying in happiness, whispering her love back to me as she squeezed me as tight as shecould. We had laughed and held each other, and my best friend and herown love had witnessed it and teased us relentlessly but she had justgiggled and relaxed against my shoulder.

It was very similar in a lot of ways; the freeze up of her muscles, that tiny little gasp that she let out, and the silence. But it wasdifferent for one very big reason, one that trumped everything else. She was not happy and elated, she looked worried and uncomfortable.Luckily I knew how to make it better, to make her relax again.

"It's okay Name," I assured her being careful to relax her. "Idon't need to hear anything from you, I just want you to know what Ifeel for you."I promised her and could see that she wanted to saysomething, something was telling her over and over again to say itbut she wasn't sure of it. Whether she was embarrassed or worried orwhat I would wait for her to say it when she was ready to say it. Iwanted to ask her, but I knew it would only make it harder for her soinstead I stayed quiet and waited patiently for her. I've learnedpatience, my parents raised me right, and patience was something thatmama taught me.

"I...I think I love you. But it'stoo early for love." She whispered and I knew for a fact that I wasgrinning to the point that my cheeks were probably splitting from thegrin so I forced it down to a normal smile.

"Silly Name," I cooed to hersince of course this would be worried about something. "Love canhappen at any time, Hathor doesn't work on a time line," I knewthat first hand. I was not ready to say the word 'love' when it cameto seeing Nerfert the first time, I didn't know a love like thatbefore, it was like something had pulled me to her. Hathor hadbewitched me with Nerfert from the moment my eyes fell on hergraceful form. It didn't matter, whether she said it back now, later,or never it wouldn't change how much I loved her, "but that isokay, I can be patient, my love is not conditional on you returningit. I only want you to be happy."

She looks like she is about to saysomething before there is suddenly a loud ringing sound and shegroans before she stands up and walks over to the phone picking itup. "Hello?"

I couldn't hear what was said but Iknew that it was going to be someone on the other side of the linewas going to be talking. But she just looked confused like she didn'tknow who it was that was talking to her. "Who is this?" Shelistened to something and then suddenly got angry and was glaringobviously angry. "What do you want Joshua?" She growled and I wasso taken aback by the anger, the borderline hatred, in her voiceconfused me until I remembered who Joshua was.

The man who tried to claim myName! I glared at the phone as if I could reach through it andprotect my Name from him.

"You actually can't believe th-"she was cut off and then she got a big smile and it was the most eviland enjoying it. "Oh you mean Kohmus? That's my husband." Shesnickered before hanging up. I was shocked as it was the first timeshe had called me her husband, at least as Name it was, and it musthave shown on my face. "We technically are married," she lookedaway like she was shy and embarrassed so I didn't say how cute shewas when she was like that, instead I just smiled and agreed.

I know this is a lot shorter then the last chapter, I didn'trealize how in Reader-Chan's head the last chapter was.
