Drystan's Alair

Dose

"Eh bat ba kasi ayaw mo akong papasukin?!" Pangungulit niya saakin. "Wala naman akong gagalawin dun e!" Dagdag niya pa. Argh, this is so frustrating.

"Eh kasi nga baby." Humarap ako sakanya but she's pouting and it's distracting me. Gustong gusto ko siyang halikan but damn, pwede ba Alair?

"Anooo?" Sagot niya. Matinis yung boses niya. It's obvious that she really wants to go in my room. Kung wala lang naman yung mga ala-ala namin ni Eumi don, libreng libre siya pumasok e bat, it's still there!

"Nevermind baby." I said and let out a heavy sigh. Kumunot naman ang noo niya saakin. Humalukipkip siya at sumandal sa sofa. Humarap naman ako sakanya kaya't tinignan niya ako ng masama.

"Baby, it's not th----." gustong gusto niya talagang pinuputol kapag nagsasalita ako.

"May tinatago ka don Drystan no?!" Napatigil ako because of her question. I swallowed hard and look at her eyes. Nakatingin padin siya ng masama saakin and she's waiting for my answer.

Nag iwas ulit ako ng tingin. Mabilis akong umiling. "No no! I am not hiding anything." I said. Naningkit naman ang mga mata niyang nakatitig saakin. I bit my lower lip and tried to smile.

"Hmm? You sure Pyrros?" I frowned at her. Pyrros? I'm Drystan! Nakita ko naman ang pagsilay ng ngiti niya sa kanyang mga mata.

"Okay okay, let me rephrase it." She said and cleared her throat before facing me. "Are you sure that you're not hiding anything from me Drystan?" She asked me and stared at my eyes, intently.

Yes Alair, and I don't have the guts to tell and hurt you.

"Y-yes. I'm sure" I said. She was about to ask more when my phone rings. Phew! Saved by the bell! "I will just answer this" Paalam ko at tumayo.

"Okay okay." She answered so I went out and answered the call. Nakita ko naman siyang sumandal saka pumikit.

"Hello." I said as soon na naidikit ko ang cellphone saaking tenga. I don't have the time to look at the caller because this damn caller disturbed my time with my baby.

"Pre." I heard Kyro's voice. He really likes disturbing me. Kung hindi ko lang talaga sya kaibigan, matagal ko na siyang naipakain sa mga lion sa Manila Zoo.

"Hayop ka Kyro, ano nanamang kailangan mo ha?" I hissed at him. "Make sure that it's a good news----" Before I could finish my words, he said something that made things more complicated.

"Eumi is back." He said. Dahan dahan kong naibaba ang cellphone ko. The familiar feeling that I feel whenever I remember her, starts reigning in my heart again. Fuck.

Alair. I'm sorry.

"EUMI is back." I heard the one on the other side of the line said. Lumabas si Drystan para sagutin ang tawag niya but out of curiosity, I followed him. Binuksan ko ng kaunti, enough for me to see and hear him. Nakita ko ang dahan dahang pagbaba ng cellphone niya. and that emotion na naramdaman ko noong nagkwento saakin si Ms. Dizon, I felt that again. I felt that pain in my heart.

Nakita ko siyang pabalik dito kaya dali dali akong umupo ulit sa sofa, katulad ng pwesto ko kanina. Pagkapasok niya at tumingin siya saakin. Kumunot ang noo ko dahil gusto ko padin pumasok sa kwarto niya. He chuckled and sat beside me.

"Hey. What's with that stare huh?" He asked me. Nakangiti na ulit siya but not like his smile before, his eyes are filled with another emotion and it aches my heart.

Drystan, stop hiding things away from me.

Ngumiti naman ako ng bahagya, trying to hide the pain. "Can we eat lunch at your place again?" I asked him. Nakita ko naman ang pag angat ng dalawang kilay niya.

"Huh? Okay." I think he forgot na gusto kong pumasok sa kwarto niya. Maybe because of that call, nakalimutan niya na yung kagustuhan kong iyon. Eumi is back. She's back.

We drived our way to his house. Nang makarating kami. As usual, I hugged him from the back while he's cooking for our lunch.

"Okay ka lang ba?" Tanong ko sakanya habang kumakain kami. Nabilang ko na yata kung ilang beses siya bumuntong hininga. Yes, I know he's thinking about Eumi being back. Drystan, you're starting to hurt me.

"Hey Drystan." I called him because he seems not to noticed me when I asked him. Tumingin naman siya saakin.

"Hmm?" He asked. Bumuntong hininga naman ako at umiling. Bumalik ako sa pagkain when I felt his hand touched mine, making me stop slicing the pork.

Tumingin naman ako sakanya. "Bakit?" I asked him. Then his eyes are full of emotions, frustrated, longing, sadness and many other negative emotions. And I know, all of those emotions are because of Eumi.

"Sorry. I'm just thinking of something." Who? Eumi? Yan ang gusto kong sabihin but I just smiled, assuring him that it's okay. "It's okay, Drystan." I answered.

Pagkatapos kaming kumain. Nagtalo pa kami kung sino ang maghuhugas but he won.

"Just wait for me in the living room baby." He said and kissed me on my lips. He winked at me before heading to the sink. Napailing iling naman ako at naglakad papunta sa living room but he stairs made me stopped. His room...

"I'm sorry for invading your room without your permission Drystan." I said and made my way to his room. Bumibigat ang mga hakbang ko, at the same time, my heart is starting to clench in pain.

Nakarating ako sa pintuan ng pintuan niya. I exhaled deeply before opening it. Pumasok ako at sinara ang pintuan. Madilim palang kaya kinapa ko ang pader to turn on the switch because his room is completely dark. And at last, naramdaman ko sa palad ko ang switch. I turned it on and turned back.

Kusang tumulo ang luha ko nang makita ko ang kabuuan ng kwarto niya.

"Drystan." I whispered while my eyes are roaming around his room. The walls are full of picture, and those are pictures of...Eumi. The picture on the center is the biggest frame of them. And the smell of his room, it's sweet. I'm expecting that I will smell his manly scent but I was wrong, it is a scent of a woman. Lumapit ako sa drawer niya and I saw a letter. I opened it.

My Eumi,

       I don't what what I am thinking while I'm writing this letter right now. But I just want to say how much you hurt me. Do you know what hurts the most? You left me without an explanation. Why darling? Please come back to me. You gave me a reason to smile again and now, you gave me a reason to cry. Darling, come back. I will wait for you until the end. I will never replace you here, in my heart. I will wait for you even it takes days, months, years or even decades. I will always love you.

Pakiramdam ko pinipiga ang puso ko the moment I finished reading his letter for his Eumi. Narinig ko naman ang biglaang pagbukas ng pintuan. I looked at it, it's Drystan who's looking at me and down to the letter I just read.

"B-bab---"

"Drystan. Those pictures, the scent and this letter. Are you sure you're not hiding anything from me?"
