To say the girls were happy was a major understatement. They were given five minutes to pack up Julia's drums and get all their stuff out of there so the next band could set up before they could finally settle down and actually fully take in the experience.
"That was epic!" Kate smiled as she packed her guitar into the back of Laurie's dads ute.
"You girls were awesome!" Laurie's dad Bo commented.
"Thanks Dad! It felt electrifying being up on that stage!" Laurie said as she first pumped the air. After giving a few more compliments Bo got into the Ute and headed back home to drop off all their gear.
"Julia your being uncharacteristicly quite!" Kate laughed as they made their way back into the fair.
"Just making sure I'll always remember the night we took off for stardom!" Laurie laughed at Julia's certainly.
"Yes-sir-e were going to the top!" Kate agreed.
"The toppermost of the poppermost!" Julia laughed and the girls headed off to find Kate some fairy floss.

The rest of the fair was spent with Julia and Laurie betting on who could win the most fair games and Kate taking stupid pictures. It was filled with smiles and laughter and talk of their music filled futures. It was decided around midnight just before the fireworks that no matter what happens to them they've gotta stay together. Or as Laurie put it; the worlds hella scary and I need my nerd and my hippie to help figure out what playlist to listen to during my biggest life moments!

The three left the fair a little after the midnight fire works but all decided they would meet up again sometime tomorrow, (the fair was a two day thing). The three stopped at the roundabout that separated their different streets.
"This was definitely a night to remember." Kate smiled as she pulled her jacket around her shoulder tighter.
"Yeah it was a blast! We'll have to set up another practice soon." Laurie smiled as she turned down her street.
"I'll bring the snacks!" Julia yelled as she lit up a smoke and headed down the block. Laurie and Kate's laughter could be heard echoing down their roads.

Laur-Sauce: hey

Misspell: wassup mah man

Kate: The stars because it's fuCKING NIGHT TIME AND YOU SHOULD BE SLEEPING

Misspell: yeah why are you still awake ? ? ?

Laur-sauce: WhY aRe YoU sTiLl AwAkE ? ? ?

Misspell: touché

Laur-sauce: Nah my folks are fighting again. So I am just blasting greenday and ignoring them.

Kate: oh my god are you ok? I didn't know they fought!!

Laur-sauce: oh nah it's not physical or anything they just don't rlly like each other.

Misspell: give me five I've just gotta find my lighter than I'll be on my way

Kate: is that lighter for smokes or because you're a pyromaniac?

Misspell : 🤷‍♀️

Laur-sauce: I am hoping it's for smokes because otherwise I might actually light myself on fire

Kate: I am on my way too, gotta make sure no one dies when you two inevitably do something illegal.
