𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 {𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐥 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐦}

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐

"Holy shit! Mariah?!" I know that voice all too well Sweet Pea followed by my name being screamed again by my other two best friends. I looked to the corner of the room and saw all three of them running towards me making me smile and laugh.

Sweet Pea engulfed me in a bone-crushing hug as he spun me around "alright, alright you're gonna make me barf Pea" I said as I laughed. He set me down and Toni embraced me "I missed you Mya" I kissed her head "I missed you too TT" she let me go and then Fangs hugged me tightly. When he let me go I could see they were all thinking the same thing "yeah I'm back home for good." They all smiled wide and then began looking around for my dad I shook my head "h-he won't be home for a while that's why I went silent for the past few days I was dealing with the shock of everything."

They all brought me in for a group hug. I missed them so damn much while I was away. "Come on let's get us some drinks you can tell us everything while we play some pool," Sweet Pea said. We all went to the bar and ordered us some drinks the boys got themselves a bucket of beer and ordered a round of jack fire shots. Toni ordered herself a vodka cranberry and I ordered myself a tequila sunrise.

It made me smile that they still played pool on the same pool table we always played on as kids when we first started hanging around the Wyrm. On our walk to the table, I was stopped by a few of the older Serpents they told me how sorry they were to hear about my dad and told me if I needed anything to let them know. I was lucky to have the Serpents as an extended family.

Sweet Pea racked the balls and we did our usual thing of rock paper scissors to see who would shoot first. We all took a shot of jack fire to get us started for the night. They didn't push me to talk about what happened with my dad but I wanted to get it out of the way so I told them everything that happened during the trial and all the bullshit that happened after. One thing I loved most about them was even though I hadn't been home in a few years nothing had changed it was like we picked up right where we left off.

"So now that you're living in the same place as your mom for the first time in your life is she going to make you live with her or are you moving back into the trailer?" Toni asked. I shrugged "when I went to visit my dad he said he knew I was capable of living alone and that I could move back to the trailer if I wanted. But he had talked to my mom the night before and let her know everything so the decision was up to her if I could live alone or back with her. So I guess I just have to wait and see. I'm going to start working on the trailer tomorrow though just so that everything is finished by the time school starts up in a few weeks."

"We'll help you get everything finished more hands working will get the job done faster." Fangs chimed in I smiled and thanked them. As the night went on more drinks were consumed while we played several more games of pool. They caught me up on everything that had happened while I was away and how things went the last school year since Southside High was closed down and some of them were transferred to Riverdale High that's where I would be going for my final year of high school. I knew that most of the Riverdale students didn't mind the fact that Southside Serpents went to school with them now. But there was a group of kids that hated the fact that they now had to share their school with the kids from the other side of the tracks.
