Seeing Double Chapter 4

Lessons soon passed quickly. And the break came.

Jake once again, pulled me to the canteen like a dog.

I pouted, “How many times have I said I.CAN.WALK.”

“Aww…are you angry?” He said teasingly.

We then joined the queue for  food.

“So what’re we having today?” I asked.

“Hmm… it should be pizza”

“Pizza? Cool! I love them, I haven’t eaten any for like months !”

I paused at my sudden at burst.

“Well well well, you are really talkative” Jake commented with a big grin.

I pushed him forward, “Hey move I wanna get my food you know…”

He feel forward, face flat.

He flushed in embarrassment as he got up. “Hey I can walk myself!” He yelled.

“Welcome to my world” I mocked.

Jake turned red for a moment.” I’m sorry…I didn’t know it was…like er…this…”

He turned and face the other way. I stared at him for a while. I was really shock. He apologized? Aww.. . he’s turned red.

“Iris?”

“Huh? Wha..”

“I got you pizza, let’s go!”

“Thanks” I mumbled.

“Why were you spacing out? Was it th—I’m really sorry bout pulling you and all. I wanted to see you reaction…sorry you were too cute…I couldn’t resist-“

I cut him off, “Um… no it wasn’t about that I thought you were really cute when you’re um blushing…”

I felt my face turn red after blurting out. He stopped and look at me and started to chuckle.

“I thought you were mad at me,” He laughed. “You really scared me there Iris,”

I couldn’t help but smile. Aww…he really reminds me of a little kid. Wait, did he just say I was cute?

He led me to one table with a few guys sitting.

“Yo Jake!”

“Your friends?” I asked.

“Yo new girl!” one of them said.

“Yeah, they’re friends. The tallest blonde’s Jeremy. The one next to him is Noah. The one with the big nose is-“

“Hey I don’t have a big nose!”

“As I was saying, big nose is Oliver, the Asian next to him is Sam” He continued. “So guys this is Iris”

“Hey guys”

“Hey” they replied.

Jake and I sat at the table. The guys were really friendly unlike some girls, I guess they do talk a lot like girls…

“Guys, you know that the war’s starting on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays after school right?” Oliver ask.

“I heard it from Joel, wow school days just got better,” Sam replied.

“What wars?” I asked wide-eyed.

“Oh yeah I guess you don’t know, in the past our school used to have a “fight” on every Friday. School’s separated into two groups. We usually use stuff like nerf guns, the water sprayer thing and anything that are harmless.” Jeremy explained.

“Cool…” I replied.

“Not only that you get to use the whole school. As long as you don’t get hit by whatever five times, you’re still in the game.” Noah continued.

“Wow, I didn’t know that schools  are allowed to do this” I was getting really excited.

“Yeah, well we don’t have to clean up afterwards but it’s sort of bribing us to stay out of trouble and stuff” Jake shrugged.

I nodded as I bit on the last pizza pulling the cheese. I always loved doing that. Then some cheese broke and dropped in my shirt. Shit.

“Hey you need a napkin?” Jake asked.

“Um it’s okay. I’ll go to the washroom.” I said, trying to pick up the cheese.

“Okay, you go left then turn right.” He replied as the other guys tried to hide their chuckles.

I got up and ran um… no brisk walk there.

 Eww… there was some cheese at the opening of my top flowing downwards still. Okay so left then right. Is it right here? I turned to look. Okay, no. The cheese was flowing deeper into my chest. Gross… I decided to run faster.

I turned right and felt my face buried in to someone’s chest before falling forward head knocking on the person’s chin.

“Ow…”

Damnit…
