Chapter Thirteen

"Wait behind Raj." Anand said. Father and son waited for Sonia to leave the room beforr they began talking.

"What exactly did you tell father?" Sonia asked Dawn.

"Facts."

"I'm happy you know."

"Really? You're not mad?"

"Mad? Why on earth would you think I'm mad?"

"I just stated a fact to your father letting him know you're crowsing borders and not giving Raj the much needed respect."

"Raj is older than me. But everything i ever did, was on the orders of father. He has always been worried for Raj, and that has me worried too. All father ever thought was that maybe, just maybe, being too harsh on Raj would wale him up. "

"So now you know better?"

"Yeah, thanks to you my father has now handed back the responsibilities to Raj."

"And how does that make you feel?"

"Happy. Relaxed. I can finally get some rest, and... wanna go for a walk?"

"Is it allowed?"

"The only place that is temporarily off limits is the secret hideout. No one is to know about it. It's the saving grounds for after they come after father. "

"Aren't you scared?"

"Scared? Please, i was scared back when i was six, but I'm so used to hearing it now, everyday that there's no fear left."

"Oh."

"So your father, i sorta heard what happened to you. You okay?"

"Yeahh, i am. I mean, it's like a dream when i realize the last times i saw my parents. But right now, i need to focus on the main goal. And part of that goal is to find Dave."

"Dave?"

"My cousin. His father is the target."

"You liked him?"

"Jesus not in that manner perv."

"What did I say? Like means many things. You're the perv here." She said laughing. "He cute?"

"Gosh, i will not answer that question."

"How close were you two?"

"Like blood siblings. I miss him. He always tried to be protective of me, like he was my actual brother. I had a lot of respect for him. But then, after this whole chaos, finding out about his father, i became confused. If i could trust him like i did before. My mother was totally against me having any contact with him and now, i understood why. No matter what, he will always be the enemy's son, which automatically makes him the enemy. "

"He doesn't necessarily need to be the enemy. He may not be, but may be used by his psycho father. All you need in this war Dawn, is wisdom over emotions. Think with your head Dawn, not that thing in your chest. Okay?"

"Thanks."

"So, when do you want to start looking for Dave?"

"I dont know. I've lost contact with him over the past years. Finding him might prove to be more difficult."

"In the course of your training, we're gonna find him. We need him before we begin our strike."

"That means, your father already has a plan laid out?"

"You mean plans. He's got the plan, backup plan, backup backup plan, backup backup backup plan and many more backup plans you can think of. Right now, i think that's what he's showing Raj."
