"you're awake?" he said as he turned to find her trying to sit up. "don't stress yourself so much trying to get up, just relax and tell me what you need." he said to her. She gave him a skeptical look still trying to get up, "don't think this is a romantic gesture, we're teammates and I'm only looking out for you. So stop being stubborn and relax, unless you don't want to see the end of the mission." he added but turned his attention from her.

"thanks." she said out of the blue as she laid her head back on the pillow staring at the ceiling. He reacted to the thank you by staring into space, the words replaying in his head,

"for what?"

"for tending to my bleeding leg. Thanks." she said.

"I didn't think that word existed in your dictionary."

"because you see me as a spoilt brat with no manners meanwhile I'm a girl trying to get back what was stolen from me." she answered. He didn't reply to her, he knew she was right, and he couldn't blame her, she grew up in a wealthy family with everything provided for her. He admires how strong she is, willingly taking up the responsibility, without complaining, wanting so bad to achieve her goal no matter what it cost her. He knew she had grown attached him, for her to be able to caution herself and keep her distance from him made him understand how much of a big deal it was to her.

"are you done being lost in space?" she asked him interrupting him from his thoughts.

"what do you need?"

"water." she answered. He got up from the chair and poured her a glass of water. He helped her sit up on the bed, making her lean on the pillow on the head board.
"have you heard anything from Sonia and Dave?"

"not a single word."

"what were you doing?" she asked him.

"not your business,"

"calm down, we're not fighting. Like you said, we're teammates," she said winking at him. He rolled his eyes and walked over to the table to sit.

"Raaaaaj," she called him with the softest voice ever,

"what?"

"I'm hungry," she said, Raj turned to look at her in disbelief, but was stunned when she batted her lashes at him and pouted her lips. "pleeeeease," she added, "pleeeeease with a cherry on top,"

"I will, but stop with the weird faces please," he said disappearing into the kitchen, she smiled mischievously as she watched him go off to do her bidding. She dropped the glass on the table and sniffed her dress, scrunching her nose at the smell,

"I smell of blood and sweat and that is not something I want." she said to herself, trying to drag her legs from the bed,

"and where do you think you're going?" he asked her.

"shower, I stink right now," she said still trying to get up. Raj sighed, as he went over to her,

"do you need to now? Eat first then shower,"

"I won't be able to eat at this rate," she said. He sighed throwing the kitchen cloth on the table and picking her in his arms bridal style.

"what do you think you're doing?" she asked with widened eyes,

"making sure you don't hurt yourself."

"I'm fine really, no need...."

"don't even try to act strong when you're around me," he said but not looking at her, "I get you're trying to achieve your goal right now, but while we're alone like this, it's okay to cry, to be angry, to let your emotions out, because i won't judge you, and I want to be there for you. So when you're in pain, drop that dead ass ego of yours and talk to me. We hate our guts but we want the best for each other. I want the best for you, to see you achieve this goal in one piece and whether you let me or not, I will live up to that duty. Now shut up. And a little disclaimer, you might feel weird, but I'm going to help you shower."
