Eleven's POV:
Mike and I were watching tv in his basement just like best friends do, even though I might have a little crush on him I still want to be friends because I'm not ready for a relationship.
"Hey El?" Mike said randomly "yeah Mike??" Normally Mike would ask me to get food or something because that's what he always does, but this time nope "we're best friends right?" "Yeah of course" I answered "so be honest with me, who do you like?" Ummmm well I can't really say it's him yet so I'll give him hints "yes I do like someone...In fact I think I love this person" "oh wow he must be freaky lucky" he said while looking down "yeah he is. I've loved him ever since I've met him, which is a long time" To be honest almost 5 years I've met Mike
"Well since we're best friends, tell me something about him"
"Well his name starts with 'M' and he's really funny and cute, has gorgeous brown eyes that I could just look at all day, beautiful messy brown/black hair, met him in 2nd grade, tall, his personality is perfect, has good grades and really smart"
"Wow seems like you really love him" mike said slowly, processing all the information I said. "Yeah I do" "well why don't you call him and say it" well here goes nothing...
I got my phone and started calling Mike
ring....ring....ring.... "oh hold on I think I'm getting a call" Mike said quickly "hello?"
he answered
"i love you"
"Wait" he hang up and took my hands and said "i love you too...but right now I don't want to have a relationship because I'm not ready..I hope you understand" I smiled at him and said "of course I understand..I wanted to do the same"
We both sat there looking in each others eyes, Mike spoke up "well let's continue watching the movie and if we are ready for a relationship, I'll always be here for you"
"And I'll be there for you"
And the night ended with watching Disney movies and cuddling (as friends 😉)
