S.T.A.R. BASE

Artemis appeared back in the clearing where she had left the Hunt and the agents. When she materialized Artemis paused and let out a huge sigh of relief. She couldn't be sure if she fooled everyone, Apollo and Athena might have suspected something, but at least her father had believed her story.

Artemis glanced around the clearing and was impressed by how quickly it had changed. She had only been gone about an hour but the Hunt and the agents had managed to set up a series of tents and several fire pits. Artemis could also see a large Elk bull strung up in a tree, having already been skinned and cleaned with several hunters carving the Elk up and putting the pieces into pots above a large cooking fire.

Artemis made her way into camp looking for Thalia and Gillian, as she walked she passed by the injured Anita, who was laying on a cot under the wing of the plane, with Ramon nealing next to her.

"How is she doing?" Artemis asked as she approached the pair

"She is doing ok, I gave her a little of nectar and ambrosia along with an Egyptian potion to speed things up" Ramon said, glancing up at Artemis "But I had to make her lie down cause she was running around trying to help the others set up camp and she needs rest"

"I was just trying to help" Anita piped up with an irritated tone

"Try to 'help' again and I'll sedate you to make sure you stay put" Ramon said pointedly 

"Anita, rest and let your wounds heal, we'll make sure you get some food once its ready" Artemis smiled as she kneeled down next to the cot Anita was laying on before glancing over at Ramon "where are Gillian and Thalia?"

"Last I saw them they were helping get the cooking fire going" Ramon said, pointing towards the large fire at the center of the camp

"They told me to go away cause I was arguing with the Hunters about how we should cook the Elk" Ramon added sheepishly

Artemis rolled her eyes and smiled as she stood up and walked towards the fire

As Artemis got closer to the fire she could hear some of the Hunters talking amongst themselves but as she got closer Artemis could hear laughter coming from near the fire.

Artemis walked past the last of the tents and entered the central open area and she could see where the laughter where she was coming from. Off to one side of the fire, Thalia and Gillian stood talking to each other and Thalia was laughing at something that Gillian had just said.

"You two seem to be enjoying yourselves" Artemis piped up as walked up to the pair

Thalia looked up surprised when she heard Artemis "M'lady, Gillian was just telling me about the first time she meet Percy"  Thalia stuttered

Artemis looked at Thalia a little confused, she had never known Thalia to stutter when she was talking and was Thalia blushing?

Artemis glanced over at Gillian just in time to see the girl glance over at Thalia, she was blushing a little as well

Artemis stared at the pair for a brief second "Well if Percy is anything like he used to be it must have been pretty funny"

Gillian smiled "I've heard some stories of what Percy was like back in the day so I can only imagine" as she shifted her balance slightly

The three women stood there for a few seconds awkwardly before another one of the Hunters who had been cooking the Elk called out to the camp that dinner was ready.

Within a few seconds, the whole camp was lined up in front of the cooking fire with bowls, hunters and agents intermingling

"The Hunters seem to be surprisingly comfortable around Ramon and Michael" Artemis commented glancing back at Thalia and Gillian
