Decision

Artemis and Thalia walked into the makeshift sleeping quarters and the room quickly fell silent, all the hunters looking at their lieutenant and mistress expectantly. Artemis and Thalia looked at each other unsure for a second before Artemis cleared her throat before speaking.

"Percy Jackson has made us an offer...He is interested in recruiting us to join the S.T.A.R Division as 'partners' and to act as his eyes and ears inside Olympus" Artemis said cautiously as she shifted side to side uncomfortably

The Hunters all straighten up and looked shocked as they absorbed what Artemis had just said, a few of the Hunters looking nervous.

"What would that mean for the Hunt M'Lady?" Asked Anita, trying to be heard above the commotion of the others hunters

Thalia stepped forward to answer the question "We would become agents" Thalia said simply "We would train here for a few weeks before we went on like normal, but we would work for and along with side Percy's agents" She continued

"This would mean likely having to inform on Olympus and possibly...having to fight against them should the truth ever be discovered," Artemis said reluctantly

Thalia could see that a lot of the hunters were unsure and were clearly nervous about going against Olympus. Most of the girls were Demigods and were used to Olympus being the absolute authority in their lives and they all knew how dangerous some of the gods could be when angry.

"Look, it is risky, but we all agree that the council's decision to kill Matthew was ridiculous and to most on Olympus just see us as another group of demigods," Thalia said, a little bitterly "Olympus sees us as simple things to be used and manipulated to get what they want...That is one of the things that drove Luke to betray Olympus, he realized how little the Gods cared about us" Thalia continued, a single tear rolling down her face as she thought about her friend and the young boy who had his eyes

Artemis pursed her lips and nodded "Percy says the goal of his agency is to monitor the 'godly' side of the world and to protect mortals at all costs" Artemis said, a hint of approval in her voice.

"What would happen if Olympus did find out that we joined the STAR Division?" a Hunter asked from the back of the group, Destiny, a clear-sighted mortal, and the Hunt's newest recruit.

Thalia and Artemis glanced at each other unsure.

"I'm sure Percy would do what he could to protect and take care of us," Artemis said "He is a respectable man and protects those he cares about to the death" Artemis added with a faint, smile

All the hunters looked at Artemis in mild surprise, they had heard Thalia say good things about Percy and praise him, but to hear Artemis give a boy such a glowing review took them off guard. Artemis could see that the hunters were starting to relax and some were evening nodding to themselves.

"Does anyone have objections to joining the STAR Division?" Artemis asked, searching the assembled girls for anyone who may have an issue, but all she saw was girls shaking their heads

"We will follow you M'Lady, whatever you decide" Anita replied simply as she looked at her sisters

Artemis shook her head "I want us all to vote... this is a big deal and I won't force anyone to join if they don't want to"

There were a few seconds of silence before another hunter spoke up, this time it was Anne, one of the most veteran hunters "What happens if we vote to not join...I can't believe that we would just be allowed to leave, after what we have learned" She said suspiciously

"Percy assured that we would be allowed to go free if we decided not to join" Thalia said, trying to sound reassuring, but even she could agree that it sounded unlikely
