The lone security guard yawned and stretched as he tried to shake the drowsiness as he stepped out into crisp night air and clicked on his flashlight as he started to shuffle down the dirt path that wrapped around the facility. The guard had been asleep until 5 minutes ago when his partner had nudged him awake to go do the hourly security walk around the perimeter and as he lazily made his way along the path, his eyes barely open and never leaving the path in front of him, he again wondered why he had chosen to switch to the night shift. The night was just as dark and silent as every other night had been when he worked at this facility so much so that the guard had slipped into a pattern of laziness and lackluster effort when at work, so much so that the guard didn't notice the chainlink fence quivering slightly or the figures lurking in the shadows of a large cargo crate until one of the figures lept out of the darkness and wrapped their arm around the guard's neck in a chokehold as their other hand covered the guard's mouth to suppress a surprised shout. The guard felt himself being dragged backward, off the path, and into the darkness as he tried to fight and scream for help. The guard tried to reach around to grapple with his attacker but couldn't manage to get a solid hold, as the guard's started to feel himself slip into unconsciousness he glanced up to see the line of black-clad figures silently stepping through a large hole that had been cut in the fence. The Guard's eyes went wide in shock before they rolled back and the guard's body went limp.

The guard's attacker held him for a few more seconds to ensure that the man was unconscious before slowly letting go and lowering him to the floor. Thalia Grace panted slightly as she took a knee next to the unconscious figure of the guard and took the man's pistol, radio, and key card off his belt. She then rolled him over and secured the guard's arms behind his back with a pair of zip cuffs and stuffed a rag into the man's mouth to keep him from calling for help once he woke up.

Thalia looked up and nodded silently to Artemis, who nodded approvingly, as she picked up her rifle "We should have about 10 minutes before his partner notices something isn't right" Thalia whispered as the group of a dozen hunters stood up and started to silently advance towards the main building

Artemis nodded in agreement before reaching for her chest and keying up her mic "SHIELD 131 this is Hunter 1, we have made it into the compound and have subdued one of the guards, we are now making our way to the main building"

"Hunter 1 this is SHIELD 131, understood, you are now on the clock and have 10 minutes to complete your objective. The camera loop is holding, you are cleared for entry" came the voice of Agent Reese through the team's headsets as they reached a side door of the main building, the team stacking up on either side.

The team paused as Thalia readied the guard's key card and look up at Artemis for confirmation. Artemis glanced back to ensure the others were ready before nodding swiftly to Thalia who quickly swiped the guard's card and silently swung the door open as the light on the small pad blinked green with a small chirping noise. The team silently made their way into the building as started down the hall towards the secure innermost room that held their objective. The team moved with perfect efficiency, each of them having memorized every inch of the building and the exact route they had to take. The team's rifles swung back and forth as they visually checked each doorway and hallway they passed, the world looking green and fuzzy through the haze of their night vision goggles.

The group turned the final corner and came to a stop in front of a heavy metal door with another keypad. Thalia quickly moved forward and swiped the guard's card but this time the pad buzzed angrily and flashed red

"Dam" Thalia cursed under her breath "I guess this guy doesn't have the proper clearance" She muttered as she stepped back and knelt next to Artemis who was watching her

"Well just have to do this the hard way" Artemis sighed as she turned back to her team "Destiny, come open the door please" she called out

One of the girls who was spread out in the hallway quickly stood up and walked over to the door before handing her rifle to Artemis and taking a knee. The young girl reached down and opened a pocket near the bottom of her pants and pulled out a small metal bar. She then peeled off a sticker and carefully stuck the bar to the metal door, directly above the handle and the keypad. She pressed a few buttons on the face of the bar and pulled a small pin before retreating farther down the hallway.
