I finally turned around and saw Michael. My heart stopped. Our eyes locked and our worlds froze. "Come on babygirl." My dad whispered. He held my arm tight, not ready to give away his only daughter away. Our steps through the sand seemed to take forever as we made our way to Michael. "Who give this woman to be married?" The minister asked. "Myself and her and our family." My dad said proudly. He handed me off to Michael as i was shaking. I couldn't stop smiling. I don't even know what the minister was saying. We told him to keep it short and sweet.

He finally ended his little speech then we grabbed our reefs. We both have a reef of flowers to honor those who couldn't be here because they've past. "Don't fall," Michael joked. I lightly shoved him as we bent down to release them. The minister said a pray as we let the reefs out to sea. We went back to the alter, holding each others hands. "Ready for you 'I do's' ?" The minister asked smiling. We nodded.

We stood in the middle of the dance floor just swaying the night away, everything is perfect. I have the man of my dreams and a baby on the way. Our wedding day is a dream. "Forever?" He asked. "Forever and ever." I told him. "Yeah?" "Promise." I said then kissing him.

Present

Day 6. 6 long days. 6 days of crying, 6 days of praying relentlessly that Michael wakes up, 6 days without my husband. I can't do this. He still squeezes my hand sometimes. He moved his toes yesterday but I think that was nerves. I sat here all day looking through our pictures together, telling him what we did those days. Talked about when we became parents to the most perfect little human. Nothing.
"Has he moved much today?" Christine asked. I shook my head. "We're here," Wesley announced as Jay and him came in. "There's my baby," I smiled getting him. He reached for me excitedly. "Dada!" He squealed. I sat him next to Michael and let him grab on him. He leaned down kissing Michaels face and that melted my heart. "When are we going to see Dr. Taylor?" Wesley asked. "Now I guess." I Sighed standing up with Jay.

"Hey Wesley," Dr. Taylor greeted him with a hand shake. "Hey handsome man," she said to Jay. "Why didn't I get that greeting???" Wesley jokes making us laugh. Angel picked up Jay playing with him as we sat down to talk with Dr. Taylor.

"You found his stuff under his dresser?" She asked. Wesley nodded, "he was getting it from the same person he was getting it from when we were 17." I sighed. She shook her head. "Should we move whenever he gets out?" I asked. "We always recommend moving away from the problem." She said. "I don't think hes going to want help," Wesley expressed. "Why's that?" Angel asked. "Because last time he was in there Dre left him." He stated. "He's right." Dr. Taylor sighed rubbing her face. "Here's the bottom line. We cannot make him get help. He has to want it." She said. "Okay," I said with tears, as Wesley rubbed my back. "Hopefully with you guys having Jay he'll be more willing."  Angel suggested. "He either gets help or Jay and i are going to leave. We're not staying in that house with him if he hasn't gone to rehab." I stated. "We just may have to do some talking. Express to him what he's put you through during this week." Dr. Taylor said. I nodded.  "Mamamamama!" Jay hollered making us all jump. I look over and he's just smiling. "You got a loud voice for such a little body." I laughed wiping my tears. "He's a mommas boy," angel smiled handing him to me. He attacked me with kisses making me happy. "What would I do without you?" I smiled kissing his chubby cheek. "He looks just like his daddy," angel laughed. "I know! I carried you for 9months for you to look like your daddy, that just ain't right." I said. "You ready to go back to the room?" Wes asked. "Yeah, let's stop by the cafeteria to grab a bite though. I'm starving." I said.

"That hospital food is nasty," Wesley said dumping his tray. "I know, I'm ready to be out of here." I said dumping mine also. "Let's head back," i sighed. "You need to get out of here for a minute." He said. "I can't, I need to be here whenever or if he wakes up." I said. Everytime I say if my heart breaks. I wipe my tear, "he's gonna wake up," he said. "Leelee," "what's up little man?" He asked. Jay continued to babble to Wesley. As we got closer to the room I could hear yelling and monitors going off, "is that Michaels room?" Wesley asked worried as I could see nurses running into his room. "Oh my god, no! Take him!" I said handing Jay to him.

God please, dont let my husband die! I started running to his room, scared, heart racing, prepared for the worst, that Michaels body finally gave up but then I heard the best thing in the world. Michaels voice. I ran into the room and Michael was freaking out, shoving doctors away from him. "Oh my god!" I cried. I shoved Everyone out of my way. "Baby!" I cried and just hugged him. He was shaking, I pulled back seeing his scared face. "Mrs. Jackson please get him calm down," dr. Finn asked frantically. "Hey, look at me baby," I cried holding his face. "Look at me, it's okay. Let them do what they have to do," I said. He couldn't even focus on me, I grabbed his Face. "It's okay. I'm here." I said. He nodded. He was sweaty and then His eyes started to close. "Let him go back to sleep," the doctor said. "No! No! Don't put him back to sleep!" I hollered scared. He's been asleep for so long! I can't wait this long again for him to wake up. "Dre, he will wake back up. This will just put him to sleep till we get everything out of him." Kim explained. "Okay." I cried as he laid back down and they knocked him out.

They took out his feeding tube and his catheter.  "Thank you God." I said still crying. Wesley was finally cleared to come in. "What's going on?" He asked. "He woke up, he freaked out and took his breathing tube out. They gave him some meds to go back to sleep so they can take everything out and make sure he didn't hurt himself taking his breathing tube out." I said brushing his hair out of his face. "He looked so scared." I said. "That's common," Kim said. "Okay we're taking him off of it. He should wake up soon." The doctor said. I nodded.

10 minutes passed and I sat there, talking to him, trying to wake him. "Baby wake up, jay wants to talk to his daddy." I said. He flinched, the started to toss his head. "Come on baby, wake up." I said. His eyes winced then He slowly opened them. He looked around the room then to me. He was confused. "How do you feel," i asked. He shook his head. "You've been asleep for a long time." I told him. He looked even more confused. "Where am I?" He finally asked. " the hospital. You've been here for 6 days." I said. He kept looking around, he was really confused. "What day is it?" He asked. "Friday, March 20th." I said. "I don't think he's realizing what's going on Dre." Wesley said. "He just woke up Wes, of course he doesn't." I said. "I want to sit up." Michael said. "Okay, let me help you." I said, he nodded. I grabbed him, pulling him forward, and leaning his bed up. "Is that good?" He nodded. "I'm going to be sick," he groaned. I grabbed the pink bucket, his face was as pale as can be. I held the bucket and his hair back. He gagged then threw up, multiple times. "Do you feel better?" I asked. "I want to go home." He sighed. "Me too. I want us to go home." I said.
"When can I go home?" He asked confused. "We will talk later. You really scared me baby." I said as I started crying again. He wouldn't reply. He looked a shame.

Michael could stay awake, he was asleep short after our short conversation. "Dre I don't think he's realizing what's going on." Wesley stated. "I don't either but maybe give him time. It may take him a little bit to be back, like mentally." I said. "You're right, I'm going to drop Jay off at your moms." He said giving me a hug then leaving.

Shortly after Wesley left Katherine was able to make it up here. She was rushing through the hospital trying to get to her baby. "Is he awake now?" She asked desperately. "No but I'm sure we can wake him up." I said taking her into the room. She let out a sigh of relief, "in so happy to not see all those machines connected to him." She said with watery eyes. "Me too," I said. I sat next to Michael as he slept. "Michael, baby, wake up. Your mom is here." I spoke gentle. He groaned, "Michael wake up, it's me." His mom said. He finally opened his eyes, squinting. "My baby," she cried. "Mom?" He asked. "Yeah it's me." She said happily with tears. "You scared us so bad." She said finally getting to hug him. He didn't really react.

Katherine sat there and just talked to me, asking him how he felt and just babying him but he's not really responding. "Michael," I finally said. He looked at me. "Do you even know what's going on?" I asked. He shrugged, "I'm really confused." He finally said. "God damnit! What the fuck is on me!" He cursed scratching his face and arms. And here comes the withdrawals. "Hey calm down, nothings on you baby." I said trying to grab his hands gently. "Yes there is! The doctors did something to me! I know they did, I need to leave." He said not sounding himself. I pressed the button for the nurse. "No they didn't baby, it's just the withdrawals." I said. He looked at me offended, then I could see it in his face. Everything clicked then the door opens and in comes Dr. Taylor and Angel. "No..." he said.
