Cannot ESCAPE [Guardian Fan-fiction]

Chapter 9 - I'll just surrender

After the crisis with the flying penguins, actually flying daggers would be more fitting, they're finally able to relax but still remains on their guards. Da Qing is quite in severe condition because he doesn't have the healing ability like the rest of them. So they use cloth to help temporary stops the bleeding.

Ever since Da Qing follows Yunlan around, he's been getting into fights with various demons but none of them were this dangerous. Luckily, Ye Zun seems to be around to help him at the critical time. If not, he's not sure whether he would still be alive.

"Fat cat, don't you die on me. You heard me, right?" Yunlan instruct as he gets Da Qing onto his back. "We need to find some place safer so that we can treat his wound and also for us to recover."

'Lao-Zhao is so noisy .... I'll sleep for a while.' Da Qing complains inwardly before losing his consciousness.

Upon sensing the body on his back going limp, Yunlan speeds up to find a good spot. They couldn't afford to run into another demon. The little cat might not make it. Yunlan is feeling guilty for bringing the stubborn cat along.

The twins are following in the back to help make sure that those dangerous demons don't return and no others are following them.

"Gege?"

"Hmm?"

"What happened to your lips?" Ye Zun asks his gege who's acting a little strange at the moment.

"N-nothing! .... Why do you ask?" Shen Wei is surprise at this question from his didi which is starting to make him panic.

"You've been touching your lips non-stop. So I wonder if something happened. Did you get a cut or something?" Ye Zun is worried if Shen Wei was wounded.

"Oh ... it's just .... it's just that my mouth is a little dry .... ha ha ... I'll need to get a drink once we found a place to rest." Shen Wei nervously answers his didi. He was worried that his didi saw what happened. Luckily, Ye Zun is only asking out of concern.

"Then we should hurry. We wouldn't want your lips to be too dry." Yunlan says to the twins from the front, which clearly indicates that he's been listening to them talking all along making Shen Wei goes all red.

After seeing his gege's reaction, the situation is somewhat strange. Ye Zun guess that he may have touch a topic that he shouldn't have. So he'll drop this topic and not mention it again because he has a hunch that it's something he wouldn't want to know anyway.

When reaching a suitable area, Ye Zun quickly takes out his mat and medicine supplies. Yunlan immediately puts Da Qing down and takes the pentagram box to set up the barrier while the twins find a way to help Da Qing. With Yunlan's power, he can strengthen the barrier to cover larger area and eliminate any low ranking demons as the barrier expands from the box.

When Yunlan turns back, both Shen Wei and Ye Zun are busy applying some sort of medicine on Da Qing's wound. It seems to be working on mortal as well but the rate of healing is slightly slower if compared to the beings from heaven. After a long while, most of the wounds were healed and Da Qing starts to regain his consciousness which Yunlan breathe out his sigh of relief.

"How are you feeling?" Shen Wei asks the still blurred Da Qing who's trying to sit up even though he's not quite stable yet.

"I feel better. It doesn't hurt anymore." Da Qing replies while taking a look at his wounds which mostly are already healed.

Once Da Qing is out of danger zone, it's time for the rest of them to examine themselves as well in case there are any strange wounds that could cause problems despite them having the self healing ability. Although, the wounds may have healed but one could still guess the seriousness of it by the amount of dried blood left on the body or even from how torn their clothes are. So Shen Wei quickly grabs his didi to check. Fortunately, Ye Zun the wounds he received are not too deep and not life threatening.
