Marnie and Y/N were walking through the forest.

Marnie: " 'Member, You ain't using me for trainin', I'm using you for trainin'. So don't get the wrong idea."

Y/N: "Well, I believe that's essentially the same thing."

Marnie: "Shut up."

Marnie punches Y/N, but it was a really weak punch so the boy shot a smile at her.

Y/N: "That all you got?"

Y/N stops walking.

Y/N: "I could always teach you how to defend yourself without the need of a pokemon you know."

Marnie: "I don't think I can beat up gym leaders for their badges."

Y/N: "It's a good skill to have."

Marnie: " I appreciate the offer, but I'll just stick with usin' my pokemon. Which is what you should be doin' right now."

Marnie launches a pokeball, Toxicroak comes out of it.

Y/N: "If you say so, don't go regretting it later!"

Y/N launches his pokeball and one of his pokemon comes out of it, eager to battle.

Y/N looks at Marnie with a smug look.

Y/N: "If I win—"

Marnie: "Wait you cannot do that!"

Y/N: "Makes it more fun."

Marnie: "I—"

Being the tease that he is, he makes a sad face.

Marnie: "F-Fine! But I'm only doing this so it gives me more reason to win the battle!"

Y/N: "You're really cute when you blush you know that."

Marnie got really flustered so she squatted and covered her face with her arms. Y/N laughs at this.

Y/N: "If I win, you'll do one thing I tell you to do, alright?"

She slowly raised her hand and gave Y/N a thumbs up.

Y/N: "Are you gonna want anything?"

Marnie murmurs something but Y/N couldn't hear so he slowly walks to where she is without her noticing, squats down and pats her back.

Y/N: "What was that?"

The girl gets surprised by this and falls to the floor.

Marnie: "What was that for?"

He lays down next to her.

Y/N: "I really like teasing you."

They both stare at each other.

Y/N: "So?"

Marnie: "I-If I win...You can do anything you want to me..."

Y/N: "Oi, I-I don't think thats how it works..."

The boy who once was a tease was now blushing a little.

Marnie: "I got you."

Marnie, even though she always had a constant serious expression, manages to form a really small smile with her lips.

Y/N: "I admit defeat."

The boy smiles and the girl giggles. Just like little children, anybody would've thought if they saw the way they act when they're together. Y/N L/N is always being that quiet, shy person who would always be with his pokemon and usually never talk to others, but it was different with Marnie. The first moment they met wasn't a magical, love at first sight moment, but rather a first baby step into what would become a strong, caring relationship between the two trainers.
