5 - 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐧?!

We came up to some monkeys. Grug gasped a bit. "Wait," said Grug. Everyone stopped. "It's just monkeys. Give them a banana and they'll be happy," I said. "No, I got this," he said. He began making a lot of noise and flailed his arms around trying to scare the monkey but nothing worked. "Hmm." The monkey spat out what it was chewing on then punched him. Then Gran punched him. "I'm loving this."

He got smacked around like a ping pong ball and Thunk tried to cheer him on but he was losing. I looked unimpressed with Ugga and Gran was laughing at him. The monkeys grabbed him. "Grug, when you're finish, we need to go," stated Ugga. The monkeys fled suddenly. "That's right. You can't get pass this!" said Grug. There was growling heard. We all looked then jumped a bit shocked at the big Sabertooth tiger (I guess) in front of us. We all scooted back behind Grug. He threw a rock but the tiger caught it swiftly. It looked at the rock then threw it away roaring at us. We backed up to what we thought was a tree.

"Climb! Climb!" said Grug. We climbed but it moved then shook us off it's leg. "Cave!" declared Grug. He helped everyone up then pushed us inside but I swiftly got away being baffled by their stupidity. The whale closed its mouth. "Wow, this cave has a tongue!" stated Thunk amazed. I facepalmed. The whale spat them out then walked off. Everyone fell to the ground and Grug counted. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5... 6," he said. "And seven if you're counting chunky, the death cat," said Gran nudging her head towards the sabertooth walking towards us.

He roared at us before whimpering and running away. "Ha! He's scared of the dark. Wait." We all backed up. "We're scared of the dark." We looked to see the other whales mouths closing and Sandy snapped at them from Ugga's back. I then saw a little bird creature sit up then fly away while more of its kind joined him. We all looked in awe at first until it circled a whale and ate it completely. "Ah!"

"Kill circle!" commanded Grug. We all got back behind him and picked something up. I hopped out the kill circle. I grabbed a tusk then hit it on the ground breaking the skull off it and then blew through it. "Rose!" called Grug. He tried to reach me while still protecting the others from the oncoming killer birds but couldn't. "Rose!!!" All of a sudden, Guy came and stopped me from blowing in the tusk. He then got down and started to make a fire. When he was done, he pulled me towards him by my waist and I hid my face in his chest. He held the fire up. The birds were all around us and that lasted for a minute until they were all gone.

"Ta-da!" said Guy. I sighed dreamily looking at him. I was pushed away a bit and Grug scared Guy. "Ah!" he said hopping away kind of girlish. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, cavies!" said Guy. Now, everyone was trying to get him. "Cavies?" I asked. "Cavemen, stand back!" he said. "They're practically animals! You see their boney, sloping foreheads?" he asked. "Yeah." I narrowed my eyes at them observing and understanding what he was talking about.

"And the huge primitive teeth?!" he said. Sandy bit at the fire. "Yeah." I said surely. "Ugh! The excessive body hair!" he said. He shone the light on Gran. She ran. "Oh! That ones got a tail," he said. "Yeah," I said sadly nodding a bit embarrassed. "Alright close your eyes, I'm gonna have to take their lives," he grabbed a pocket knife. "No! It won't help, they're my family," I said stopping him. "Huh?"

"Rawr, rawr!" said Thunk. We both turned to him. "The sun is in his hands!" said Thunk. "No, it's fire," I tried to explain. "Where did it come from?" asked Ugga curiously while coming closer. "He made it," I said impressed. Guy nodded his head. "Make some for me," demanded Grug. He got up. "It doesn't come out of him! You have to make it," I said. He grabbed Guy then crushed him. "Make it!"

"You know, you're a lot like your daughter," he said before passing out. "Great! Now, look at what you've done!" I said a bit angry. "Oh, wee, it's a baby sun," said Ugga. Grug left to her and the others while I bothered Guy. I felt his hair shocked at how soft it was. I then blushed at his sleeping state.

He's so cute.

"Rose, don't touch him, you don't know where he's been!" said Grug. He had picked me up. "Dad, Sandy's hurting fire," said Thunk. Grug put me down then left again. Guy finally started to wake up and saw me. "Morning sleepyhead," I joked. He chuckled at this. "Your dad is trying to kill me though," he said jokingly back. "Don't worry, I won't let him," I said. I helped him up but he stumbled and kind of fell on me so we both blushed. Belt whistled at us, kind of teasing us, I guess, but we were taken out of our moment by a sudden yell. We all looked to see fire everywhere and it was just pure crazy.

Belt eyes went wide and I was just unimpressed. "Wow..." Grug ran around with Sandy but she had a stick and the end of it was on fire so, they were tracking fire wherever they went and Grug was chasing Thunk cause fire was on him. Gran was hitting the ground with her cane trying to get the fire off but it didn't work. "Die! Die!" she said. "Eat up babies!" said Ugga, throwing some corn on the fire. Guy looked at me and my expression was: 😑

He tried to walk away but I held him still while looking at my chaotic family. "Die! Die! Die!" The fire got off Gran's cane. "I win!" I rolled my eyes but looked back at Guy. "They're not so bad when you get to meet them," I reassured. We got picked up by a corn rocket. "Who are you people?!" asked Guy. "Oh, I'm sorry. We're The Croods," said Ugga. "And you are?"

"Uh... Guy," said Guy. "Hi Guy," we all said, waving. "Aaah!!" We all fell off the corn rocket and watched it shoot into the air exploding making fireworks. "Looks like magic, smells like food," said Thunk. "Oh!" The popcorn was big pieces and it fell on us covering us up.

"Mmhmm."

"No, don't eat it, it's new!!!"
