Last chapter!!!!!

I know this is short, my bad😅

I was gonna do the part with Grug trying to get across the gap but I decided against it and I was tired so... I don't have it. If you wish to watch the part, just go on YouTube and search it or something.

This movie is on Peacock btw.

Enjoy.

I blew into my shell sadly.

"It's not safe here," Guy said. He might've not been close to me but I could still hear him. "I'll tell her," said Gran. Gran came up by me. I glanced at her. I tried to blow in my shell again but failed as a few tears fell at the thought of losing another person close to me crept up on me. Gran blew her shell and I had stopped for a minute and looked at her before joining her.

Soon enough, everyone joined and we were all blowing into our shells while standing there. We all stopped. "I never got to tell him," I said. I immediately thought about Ugga. "Mom, I love you," I said hugging her. She was surprised at the sudden word usage. I never really called them mom or dad cause it didn't feel right but it's okay now. "It's okay sweetie, I love you too," she said comforting me. Sandy had hugged me too. "Sister!" I smiled while patting her head. "That's right." Mom looked at the two of us loving our moment. She sighed remembering why I was down. "Rose, if your Dad was here right now he would tell you to-"

"GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!"

"Wow, you sound just like him," said Thunk. We saw brightness in the smoke. "Dada!" called Sandy. "He did it!" I said happily. "He's riding the sun!" said Guy in disbelief. We saw the light coming closer. "But not very well, everyone out of the way!" We all got out the way and mom had to grab Thunk because he was just standing there waving. Dad landed not so well, not too far from us and everyone jumped up running over to him.

Dad jumped out the rubble swinging a tusk around. "Argh! Where's the danger? Who blew their shell?!"

I jumped on him immediately. "I love you too Dad!!" I was overwhelmed with relief and happiness. Dad hugged me back tightly and I could really feel the love we had for each other in the hug. "One..." Everyone else ran up. "Two, three, four, five..." he reached out and grabbed Gran. "Six!" He had us all do a big family hug. We separated and he went to Guy. "And seven," he said patting his back. "Eight?" questioned Belt. "And half," corrected Dad.

A liyote raised its paw. "Eight." He pulled Douglas to view. "Nine," said Dad reluctantly. "Douglas! Dad you saved him!" said Thunk picking him up. "Well every boy has to have a pet," Dad said petting Douglas. The tiger all of a sudden licked Thunk. We all screamed then bunched up together, scared. "Turns out, I'm a cat person," said Dad. The tiger had something in its mouth and Dad made him spit it out only to reveal these squirrel creatures that ran and wrapped around Gran making her laugh and fall.

I came up to look over a hill. My eyes sparkled as I looked at the beautiful view in front of me. "You've got to come see this," I said. Everyone came and looked. We all looked at Dad. "We should go there," he said. We all cheered. Everyone went down but Guy grabbed my wrist all of a sudden and kissed me. It was a quick, short one though.

There was a whistle. "Looks like Rose got a hot guy," joked Gran. I smiled uneasily as my parents looked at me unimpressed. "Hehe... oops," I said. They both shook their heads then patted our backs. "You two are good for each other," said Dad. Mom agrees with him and they both continued down the slope.

"I'm glad you're okay Rose," said Guy. "Me too. It's a new beginning!" I tagged him then ran down the slope laughing as he chased me.

My name's Rose and this is my family, The Croods.

If you weren't clued in from the different clothes and pets, we're not exactly cavemen anymore.

We all took a snapshot with Guy in it as well. The rock hit us and Thunk stumbled a bit. "Let's do it again, I think I blinked." He fell to the ground. I was still a leopard but my clothes were a bit different.

Our world is still plenty harsh and hostile, but now we know The Croods will make it.

The tiger came and helped my Mom and Dad while I jumped from a tree.

Because we changed the rules that kept us in the dark.

I flipped over another tree then blew into my shell. Guy and a red bear owl came and I jumped onto it.

And because of my dad that taught us anyone can change.

"Release the baby!" commanded Dad. Sandy hopped out the bushes then Douglas barked and got down for her to get on him and she did with Belt. Thunk had a whale. It made a bunch of noises and came over to us knocking down a tree as Thunk bounced around on top of it. "Whoa! Whoa!"

The red bear owl below me came next to Mom and Dad on the tiger.

Well... sort of.

The bear owl began to run and this made the tiger run after it happily. I looked to the side of me seeing both my parents. I smirked. "Haha!" I got the red bear owl to go faster and get in front of the tiger forgetting Guy was behind me. "Whoa!"

Everyone laughed as they rode something. We came out of the forest we were in and out to what seemed to be a shore line or beach and each animal ran side by side towards the sun.

So for now on, we'll stay out here. Where we can follow the light.

A star twinkled in the distance.

The End

"Dun dun duuuunnnn!!!"
