"Hurry! We're almost there!" said Guy. The group was running to the other side of whatever towards the sun. (Eh?) "You were right," Rose said after they had stopped running for a bit. "There it is! There's the sun, we can ride it to tomorrow!" said Guy.

It was all nice and pretty till some black stuff shot up from the ground not too far from them on each side of them. "Hurry!" They began to run again trying to beat the black debris. They didn't make it and the black debris shot everywhere as everyone stopped all of a sudden and sort of shielded themselves. "Ah!"

Rose got up and looked over the edge only to see lava. The light from the sun went away slowly. Guy looked at the lava river. "I don't get it, I don't understand! The sun was right here, it was right here..." he said sadly feeling defeated. Rose gave him a hug to calm him and it worked. There was a weird, loud noise. "We have to go back to the cave!" said Ugga. She pushed everyone to turn around. "Hurry, hurry! Stay together! Keep moving, move, move. Hold my hand!"

Grug didn't come. He held his hand up to catch the little bit of light that was still there on it. "What's wrong with you? Grug, we'll die if we stay here!" Ugga stated. Grug's hand had a light on it. He looked at it as the light faded off his hand. He brought his hand down slowly. Rose cocked her head at this wondering what he could be doing. "Grug, listen to me, we have to get back to that cave," urged Ugga. Grug turned around to his family.

"No more dark, no more hiding, no more caves," Grug was walking in front of them but stopped in front of Rose. "What's the point of all of this?" he asked. "To follow the light." Rose gasped a bit and everyone looked at each other then back at Grug. "I can't change, I don't have ideas but I have my strength and right now, that's all you need," said Grug. He looked back at the other side. "No, we don't know what's over there, maybe nothing. It's too risky!" stated Ugga turning him back to her.

"It's a chance," said Grug. Guy grabbed Rose's hand gently. "I'll take that chance," he said. He squeezed her hand a little. Rose nodded a bit, hesitant. Grug picked Guy up. "You know, I wanted to throw you away ever since I met you," stated Grug. "Hehe. That's a joke... right?" Guy had joked but then asked seriously and a bit scared. "What's a joke?" asked Grug.

Belt put on a helmet and Sandy held out her hand a bit but brought it back down watching them. Grug threw Guy with a yell. It was silent for a bit making everyone worry for a minute until they heard Guy blow his shell then saw him with his hand up after the smoke cleared some. "He made it! He... made it," said Ugga.

"Okay Thunk, your turn," said Grug. He went to his son. "You're not coming, are you?" asked Thunk. "When you make it, so will I." Grug threw Thunk to the other side and he made it. Thunk cheered. Grug and Ugga hugged and placed their foreheads together. "You did good," said Ugga. Sandy looked at him. "Dada!" she said putting her hand on his face. They both looked at their baby in awe then Grug picked them up and threw them to the other side. "Weeeee!!!"

"Gran!" Grug went to her. "No mush, just throw me." Grug grabbed her cane. "Wait. You surprised me today... lunk head!" she said. Gran got on her cane after squishing his cheek a bit then Grug threw her to the other side. "Still alive!" said Gran. Grug nodded a bit at this.

Now it was just Grug and Rose.

"Time to go now," he said walking up to her. "No, I have something to say and fix," said Rose. She was a bit teary eyed. "I can fix it," he said. They both hugged. "This is nice, what do you call it?" asked Rose. "I was thinking of calling it a hug." He scoffed a bit. "Cause it rhymes with Grug but... you can change it if you want," said Grug. "No..." Rose jumped onto him hugging him more and tighter. "I like hug."

It was silent for a bit between them too. "I love you. I'm sorry I never let you be the human girl you were meant to be," he said. Rose sniffled. "It's okay. I... I love-"

The ground beneath them began to crumble making them both jump back and Grug held onto Rose to make sure she didn't fall. They were safe now and Grug picked Rose up. "I'm scared," she said. This surprised Grug a bit considering the girl was never afraid and was always brave. He smiles reassuringly at her. "Never be afraid." He charged then threw her with all his might to the other side.

From the other side the family could see Grug and held up their hands so that he could see them and he did the same. That was short lived cause soon enough, Grug scrambled to get away from the crumbling ground till everything...

was black.
