"Flora?" Kate calls out as we're walking to the stables.
Kate and Y/n both continue to look around. Then they hear a noise. As if someone had just opened a heavy door.
"Flora?" Y/n calls out as they walk into the stables.
"It's Kate, I came to say hi," Kate states.
"Me too. It's Y/n her younger sister," Y/n adds.
They both heard another noise and turn around.
"Flora?" Kate repeats. "Flora?"
As they both turn the corner they're greeted by a horse. Not a happy one though. The horse jumps on it's hind legs in which scares Kate. Unlike Y/n who was just standing there in ah. She had never seen a horse in person before, it was fascinating. They both turn to see Flora giggling and walking into another stall in the barn.
"Hi," Kate says.
"Hi!" Flora replies joyfully.
"Where were you hiding?" Y/n asks.
"Like I'd tell," Flora replies smiling.
"Jeez, he's not very friendly, is he?" Kate says implying the horse.
"His name's Samson. He's grumpy all the time," Flora answers. "He only lets Miles ride him,"
"Sorry, who's Miles again?" Y/n asks.
"My big brother. He's at school now. Why aren't you at school?" Flora questions.
"Oh, I'm homeschooled," She replies.
"Me too!" Flora smiles.
"Ooh, and who's this?" Kate asks as a horse from a stall begins to sniff her on her hand.
"This is Delilah. She was my mother's horse," Flora answers facing her head down. "You can pet her on the nose if you want. Just be gentle okay?"
Kate, Y/n and Flora all start petting Delilah all chuckling.
"She wants your apple," Flora says.
Kate starts to pull out an apple from her pocket that she grabbed from the fruit bowl.
"How did you know that?" Kate asks.
Flora shrugs smiling.
Delilah begins to eat the apple from Kate's hand.
"She is my favorite horse. Did you know that apples have cyanide in them? And the seeds are poisonous," Flora states.
"No I did not know that," Y/n smiles. "How did you know that?"
"She told me," Flora says pointing to a doll of hers.
Kate and Y/n both turn to what she was pointing at.
"Doctor Felicity Pepcorn Clockwatch," Flora announces her name.
"Ah. Nice to meet you Felicity. That's, quite a name," Kate says.
"She's a veterinarian," Flora adds.
"Is that what you wanna be?" Kate asks.
"Or maybe a chef," Flora mentions.
"You could be both," Kate suggests.
"I would have to be a vegetarian," She replies.
"Why is that?" Kate asks.
"I can't save animals then eat them," Flora explains.
"Very true," Kate nods.
"Come on," Flora says running off.
"Hold on!" Kate says while her and Y/n catch up.
"Wow," Y/n says looking around.
"This maze is very complicated," Flora announces.
"Yeah, it's so big," Y/n says still amazed at every step she takes.
"You need to know your way around, or you'll get lost. One time I couldn't find my way out and I almost starved to death," Flora states.
"What?" Kate says chuckling a bit.
"Jeez, your friends must love it here," Y/n says.
"I don't have any friends," Flora says continuing to walk through the maze.
"Neither do I," Y/n mumbles.
"You have no friends?" Kate asks Flora.
"Nope," Flora responds with the same tone in her voice.
"Well, you might have one now. Maybe even two," Kate says looking back at Y/n.
"Maybe..." Flora responds.
"Maybe," Y/n says with a chuckle.
"Okay, we'll work for it," Kate declares.

Kate, Y/n and Flora all walk into the mansion.
"Okay so what? You're in ninth grade? Tenth?" Kate asks following Flora up the stairs along with Y/n.
"Second!" Flora exclaims.
"Second wow," Kate repeats.
"I could've skipped a grade if I wanted. Ms. Jessel said I was an exceptional student," Flora says swinging her hands on the rails.
"Wait, who's Ms. Jessel?" Kate questions.
"My teacher before you. She taught me French y'know," Flora informs.
"She did?" Kate asks.
"Come on slowpoke!" Flora says to Kate as Y/n and her were already up the stairs.
Kate begins to catch up.
"And this mirror is from the nineteen eighties," Flora says running down the hall.
"Ooh," Y/n says still in ah from everything she has come across.
"That's great great great great aunt Louisiana and her dog Otis. And that's, the ship her brother died on," Flora continues. "Guess what he had? He had dentistry,"
Y/n and Kate continue to examine the paintings.
"Desintry?" Kate corrects.
"Yeah, that's what I said," Flora replies walking down the hall.
Kate chuckles following behind as Y/n does too.
"That's Miles's room, and watch the next one," Flora says pointing down and hallway and dragging Kate behind her.
"Wait, wait wait. What's down there?" Y/n asks as Flora skips a hallway.
"That's the eastwing. I don't go in that part of the house," Flora says quietly.
"Why not?" Y/n asks.
"Don't wanna," She responds nodding her head and continuing down the other hallway up the next flight of stairs.
