The sound of tunes flow in and out through my ears as I gently place a cd in my cd player.  Can't live without your love and affection plays from the cd player.  I place the painting that mom made aside and turn around to see the porcelain doll's face in front of mine.  After that scare I look closer at the mannequin.
"Heh.. you're terrifying,"  I say and begin to put her into the sewing room.
As I place the mannequin in the sewing room I look at the dress Flora said "Miles" made.
"So weird,"  I whisper removing the pins from the breasts part of the dress.
As I'm leaving the sewing room the sewing machine starts up by itself making me jump.  I then leave the room trying to ignore what had just happened.  I toss myself onto my bed and start reading to calm myself down.  As soon as I'd thought that had worked.  I realized it didn't.  I heard noises from downstairs.  Like footsteps, not completely sure what it was, but it was loud.  I walk out my room and begin to look around the hallways.  Thunderstorms kept crashing and rumbling continuously as I walk into the east wing hallway.  I spot an open window and close it as I get caught between the curtains and the door locks.  As I run to the door and tug on the knob it doesn't budge.  As the door slams open I see myself face to face with a boy that had skin as white as powder.  Hair so curly I could probably get something lost in those curls. And his beautiful almond eyes.  Oh and don't even get me started about his beautiful plump lips that were the perfect shade of pink.  Yeah, I think you get it by now.
"Who are you?"  I ask bluntly.
"I'm Miles.  I live here,"  He replies.
"I mean, um... w-what are you doing home?"  I try saying while I put my words together.
"You shouldn't be in here,"  He states changing the subject.
"I-I know.  I thought I heard something,"  I say stuttering.
    He chuckles.
"You should go to bed,"  Miles replies walking away.
I follow behind since our rooms were in the same direction.

As I walked into the living room I saw Miles, Flora and Kate sat in the living room while Miles and Flora played a game of patty cake but with a different song to it.
"Y/n come meet Miles,"  Flora says giggling while Miles sat next to her.
"We met, actually.  Last night,"  I reply nervously.
"I'm really sorry about last night.  I-I didn't mean to be rude or anything.  Sorry if I scared you,"  Miles explained.
    "Oh it's fine,"  I say.
"Cool.  So, I heard we're the same age?"  Miles asks.
"Yep, I'm fifteen,"  I reply trying not to stutter.
"So it seems like you had a rough night.  You're a sleep walker like Flora,"  Miles says.
"I don't sleep walk!"  Flora shouted.
"Well how would you know silly?  You were asleep the whole time,"  Miles jokes.
    Kate chuckles.
    "I just know!"  Flora says.
"That's a cool sweater,"  I say to Miles.
Kate gives me one of those 'ooh do you like him' looks.  I give her another look back saying 'it's none of your business'.
    "Thanks,"  Miles says.
"You shouldn't be wearing that,"  Flora whispers to Miles.
"He wanted me to have it,"  Miles answers.
"Was it your dad's?"  Kate asks.
    "It was Quint's,"  Miles replies.
    "Who's Quint?"  Kate asks curiously.
"He was the Writing Instructor,"  Mrs. Grose states.
"He managed the estate,"  Miles adds.  "he was the best,"
"Oh and he's not.. here anymore?"  Kate asks.
Miles takes a pause.  "He died,"
"Oh,"  Kate says as her tone drops.
    "Everyone dies, Miles,"  Flora says.
The phone begins to ring.  Flora runs to go answer it.
"So, do you ride horses?"  Miles asks looking at me.
"Uhh.  Well no.  Kate has been on a horse before though,"  I answer as Miles and I chuckle.
"I can.. teach you if you want,"  Miles says smiling.
    "Really?"  I ask.
"I mean, if you can handle it,"  Miles adds while winking at me.
Well I most definitely could not handle that wink.
"Is that a challenge?"  I respond.
"Well, do you  accept?"  Miles questions.
"Hell yeah I do,"  I state with excitement.
Flora begins running back to the living room.
"Hey! It's the headmaster of Miles' school. He would like to speak with the person in charge," Flora announces.
"Yes, fine," Mrs. Grose says looking at Kate.
"You go take that," Miles says sounding quite nervous.

I get up to pick up the phone passing Miles and the others.
"Hello?  This is Kate,"  I answer.
"So Ms. Flora have you eaten your breakfast?"  Mrs. Grose questions Flora.  "yes?  Well then I'll clean it up for you,"
Miles starts looking back at my direction as I was on the phone.
"Okay.  Um thank you for letting us know,"  I say gulping down.
Miles turns around as I hang up the phone.
"So?  What did the headmaster want?"  Miles asks as I sat back down on the couch.
"He, um... he gave me a list of some of your schoolwork to complete while you're home,"  I lie.
"Okay, that sounds fun,"  Miles nods.  "great."
Miles gets up leaving his plate.
    I clear my throat.
"Where are you going?"  I question.
"To my room,"  He explained plainly.
    "What about your plate?"
"What?" He says sounding confused as if he'd never heard that word before.
"Your plate. Are you gonna take it to the kitchen?"
He chucked as if it was all just a joke.
"Want me to cut the grass too?" He answered with another question.
"No. But Mrs. Grose prepared a beautiful breakfast for us and it would be the polite thing to do," Kate insisted.
"That's her job, right?" Miles snapped back.
"Miles," I start but get cut off.
"It's fine Miles. I'll do it darling," Mrs. Grose added. "you go on ahead,"
"Come on Flora," Miles continued.
Flora begins to pick up her plate.
"It's not your job either Flora," Miles says.
Flora then picks up her teddy bear and follows Miles.

"May I join?" I ask Miles as they begin to walk off.
"Sure," Miles answered.
I took my plate to the kitchen and followed Miles and Flora.
