(Y/N)'s P.O.V

I opened my eyes to the blinding lights above me. I groaned wanting to roll over but swiftly changing my mind after feeling immense pain just by breathing. I looked around the room, coming to the conclusion I was in the hospital. If I was here the pipsqueak was too.

I slowly got up and out of bed latching myself onto the IV stand. I stumbled myself over to the bathroom where I saw all the bruises and scabbed gashes. That guy really had it out for me, I don't really remember much of the fight though. That asshole gave me amnesia from beating me half to death....

I looked through the drawers to find my clothes and my mask. When I found it, it was caked in blood and gunk. I think it needs washed. I just decided to grab a doctor's mask and go find Ed's room.

I heard a small commotion and didn't even have to think to know it was Ed. I opened the door, quietly like a ninja and leaned against the door frame, watching Winry yell at Ed.

I don't know when she showed up but it wasn't surprising, Ed needed his arm fixed. The whole room went silent when I was spotted. Ed fixed his posture and limply walked over to me.

"Karma, should you be walking around? You were beaten up pretty bad." Ed said, worry covering his words even though he tried to hide it.

"Yeah it hurts quite a bit, but whatever the hell we walked into is kinda our own fault Ed." I said.

"Do you not remember what happened?" Ed whispered.

"We can talk about last night later, you need to get your arm functional again. I don't feel like being your hand maiden again." I said pushing him back over to our mechanic. I was gonna go walk out to the phone but I got a very bossy look from Ed telling me to sit. I sighed but sat next to him anyways.

"Where is Al?" Winry asked.

"I don't know, he has been acting kinda weird lately." Ed said. Ed looked a little sad, you could mostly see it in his eyes. My focus was more drawn to the screw Winry pulled out of her pocket and placed in an empty spot in Ed's automail. I smirked under the mask I was wearing and looked at her, a snarky look in my eye. Winry gestured for me to shush and basically pleaded for me to not tell him she messed up the first time.

Ed was all fixed up stretching a bit when Maes busted through the door.

"Is it true you have a pretty blonde girl in here to fix you up, Ed?" Maes said, mischief behind his words. I saw Winry and Ed both turn into tomatoes. I snickered a little then limped my way up behind Maes. Somewhat softly I whacked him with my metal hand.

"Ow...." Maes whined.

"Stop embarrassing them. We're in the hospital for crying out loud, be nice." I said subconsciously holding my side. Maes softened seeing my bruised self.

"Well aside from that I should go find a place to stay while I'm in town. Karma, do you need maintenance on your arm too?" Winry asked.

"Nope all the pieces are working just fine. A few scratches though." I said. Winry playfully glared at my first sentence then smiled.

"Oh don't worry about that, you can stay at my place. My wife and daughter would be delighted to have you over." Maes said already dragging Winry away.
