Epilogue

Years later...

May trabaho na ko at si Dyna naman siya na nagmamanage nung negosyo nila. Wala na kong koneksyon sa tatay ko hanggang ngayon.

Ngayon I'm planning to propose to her. Handa na ko.

I invited my mom and my sister to witness the proposal and they gladly went to the Philippines for me. Kakuntsaba ko din sina ate Teresa at yung ibang empleyado sa office niya. Yes, sa office niya ako magppropose.

Nung magtext si ate Teresa na ok na, pumunta na ko sa office ni Dyna

Dyna's PoV

*knock knock*

"Come in!"

"Busy?"

"Ilay!!" Napatakbo naman ako sa pintuan at niyakap siya

"Happy to see me?"

"Of course!"

"Lika"

"San tayo punta?"

"Basta"

Hila hila niya ako papunta sa isang malaking conference room dito sa office. At napansin ko sa daan na there are roses.

"Anong gagawin natin sa conference room?"

"Just trust me okay?"

"Okay?"

Pagdating namin sa tapat ng conference room nagsalita siya

"Open the door up" binuksan ko naman at bumungad saken ang malalaking words na

"Will You Marry Me?"

Paglingon ko nakaluhod na si Ilay at may hawak hawak na singsing. Everyone is also around as witnesses.

"Ilay..."

"There were a lot of times that I heard goodbye for the both of us, but hindi mo ko sinukuan. Instead of saying goodbye, you managed to stay. Oo lumayo ka pero para sa sarili mo. And I understood that. Andaming dumating na pagsubok, andaming naging problema. Pero andito na tayo ngayon Dyna. And I'm never planning to let you go anymore. Will you marry me?"

I can't stop my tears from falling. Hindi ko inaasahan na ngayon to mangyayare.

I just nodded as a response.

"Yes?"

I nodded again

"Yes!! Woohooo!!"

"Ayy!!" Binuhat niya naman ako bigla kaya napasigaw ako. Everyone was clapping and cheering for us.

Ibinaba niya ako at saka isinuot yung singsing saken.

"I love you soon to be Dyna Ochoa"

"I love you too my future husband"

Dylan's PoV

After the proposal lumapit samin sina mama at ate

"Congratulations!!" Mama

"Sister!!! I'm so happy for the both of you!!" Ate sabay yakap kay Dyna

"Thanks ate!"

They just met via video call pero close na si Dyna kina mama. They never had any issues with each other. In fact na out of place ako pag sila na nag-usap

"Congratulations son, Dyna" nagulat ako nung makita ko si dad. I wasn't able to speak.

"I'm not here to make an argument with you. Gusto lang kitang icongratulate. At gusto ko lang din magsorry."

"Dad..."

"I've been too much in control over everything. Nakalimutan ko that you have your own mind to decide on things, and I'm sorry if I made you feel unloved. Na wala kang ama. Sorry if I wasn't able to fulfill my duties as a parent"

"Dad. Ok na. I'm not even mad at you anymore. I'm thankful that you've realised what was wrong"

"Can I hug you?"

"Of course dad"

We hugged each other at naramdaman ko ding yumakap samin sina mama. Mad naging masaya ang araw ko sa nangyare ngayon

"Dyna?" My dad called her

"Po?"

"Care to join the family hug?"
She smiled and approached us pero saken siya nakayakap halos haha.

"Sis family hug ang sabi ni dad asawa mo lang niyakap mo"

"Hahahahaha sorry" she hugged us properly haha kulit

I heard enough goodbyes and I guess I can finally say that what I heard now was made for a lifetime. Habangbuhay kong pangangalagaan kung anong meron kami at hinding hindi ko hahayaan na may kahit anong maging rason pa ang isa samen para magpaalam.
