I caught the football that my dad had just thrown. "Nice!" I throw it back. I was the quarterback of the team. Football was going to be my ticket to collage than the NFL. As my dad throw it back I saw a couple of cars, a truck with a trailer, than a moving truck right behind them.
"Boys! Come on. I got some sweet tea and cookies." My mom yelled. I dropped the ball and we both ran up to the porch were she had the drinks and cookies.
I hugged my 5 ft 3 mom towering over her. I thought it was funny how short she was. She would always hit me lightly in the chest. I really don't know how she keeped my 6 foot something dad in line. We all sat down and helped yourself to a cookie.
"B did you hear that Mr. Potts died?"
"No I didn't."
"I guess his son and his family are moving in."
"We had some good times at that place."
"Yep. I'll properly bake them cookies as a greeting. Hunter I heard that they have a girl your age." She raised her eyebrows at me. Mamma didn't really like my girlfriend June. I nodded my head to show I had heard her.

I turned my turn signal light on. And turned into this long drive way. Than a house appeared. Right behind it was a big barn with pens all around it. My two horses would be happy. I parked out by the barn. I went in the barn and looked around. It had about 20 stalls. 10 on each side. The barn was in fabulous condition. I went and found some water buckets and wood chips. I layed the chips out in two stall. I found some buckets and filled them. I then and put them in the stalls.
I went back out and opened the trailer. I first got my red roan quarter horse out. Her name was Saint and she was a barrel horse. I led her to the first stall. Than I got my black and white paint gelding out. His name was Buckle. I did roping off him. I put him in the second stall. I got some hay out of my trailer and feed them. I then went inside after making sure they were ok.
When I walked in the house it had a more homey feel more than my other one. Texas didn't really seem to fit me. So being here was a fresh and well needed change for me. I went and sat in the kitchen. Most everything was set up just a lot of boxes everywhere.
"How was the barn?" My dad asked. My dad's name was Dave. He was 6 foot. He had dark almost black hair cut short. His green eyes looked over me.
"It was amazing! I can get my business going!" I trained horses for a job. "So what else did grandpa leave us?" Me and my grandpa weren't very close but we were the only family he had.
"Well we got 12,000 acers and around 100 heads of cows." My mom Sue had light brown hair, green eyes and light tan skin. We ate and than I showered. The movers had put my bed in the middle of the room and that's were it would stay for now. I climbed into bed. Hopefully school goes good tomorrow.
