"I thought she was hungry..." I heard Austin whisper to Zion across the booth.

"She said she was. Now she's not saying anything." Zion whispered back. We are all sitting in California Pizza Kitchen and everyone is waiting for their food except me because I didn't order anything.

"This is why I don't do girlfriends." Edwin whispered joining in on their conversation.

"Are you— are you sure thats why?" Nick said laughing, completely forgetting to whisper as he cracked up.

My phone silently vibrated under the table and I opened it to see exactly who I wanted it to be.

Oscar🔫- You don't have a ride here?

It was his response to me asking him if he could pick me up and make me tacos because I'm in a mood and I don't want to bother nobody.

Angel💨- Nah pull up because I don't want to bother them, they're waiting for their food :/

Oscar🔫- let me fire up the grill and i'll send Joseph to go get you. send the addy.

Angel💨- location sent: santa monica📍

I turned off my phone, put it down and quickly surveyed the restaurant. Ive never been here before, my mom could never afford pricey places or restaurants in general. After spotting a bar, I slipped out of the booth with curious eyes following me but I kept my move.

I hate to be that bitch but I don't want to kill their mood and the only way I see that being possible is if I exit myself from the group, recharge, and see them later.

I knocked on the bar counter to get the bartenders attention. He turned to me and smiled nicely.

"What can I get ya honey?" he tilted his head with a wide smile most likely to get one out of me but right bitch, wrong attitude.

"Rum and Coke on ice." I said monotone staring dead into his eyes.

"Coming right up m'lady! Ill make you one fast because it's been a crazy night! " he tried again but I was as blank as before. He looked as if he was deciding something before hesitantly asking for my I.D. which made me more pissed off, mostly because I never really have this problem but I always have a backup. I reached into my purse and pulled out the fake I.D. I'd never thought I'd use but here we are. I slid it over the counter and he read it.

"Angelica? hmm... pretty name." He said before handing it back to me. I stayed silent because its not even my name but he doesn't need to know that.

"Here ya go! That'll be 9.60!" he said, still energetic, "Hi, What could I get ya?" he spoke again looking over my head. I turned my head to see Zion standing behind me. He looked at me and smiled.

"How much for this pretty little lady's drink?" he asked the guy while motioning to me.

"$9.60." he said matter-of-factly. Zion put a ten on the counter making the bartender go away and sat with me at the bar. I was appreciative for him buying my drink and it made me feel bad for being moody.

"Did those fans at the store bother you?" he asked me, thinking way too hard about it.

"Nothing is wrong, Z. They were fine, I'll be fine, I just want to eat." I finally told him honestly.
