Maddy
Everyone had left, Justin was stood in the doorway.
"We could Skype when you have the chance. Please..." He whispered.
"If I'm never coming back, there would be no point." I croaked. He pulled something out his pocket. A small box.
"This is for your birthday. Don't open it till then."
"Okay... Thank you..."
"Also, I know how much you love oversized sweaters." He whispered and took his black sweater off and handed it to me. I felt tears leave my eyes, and he pulled me into a hug. "I love you." He whispered, just as dad beeped the car horn. He stepped out the doorway, taking my suitcases and putting them in the boot of the car. I could tell my mascara was running.
"I won't forget you Justin."
"I won't forget you either."
----
I walked along the beach in my bikini, laying down when I found the correct spot. I closed my eyes and woke up later on around six pm with a slight tan.
"Maddy!" Mum called. I stood up, wrapping my towel around me and walking off the beach and to the house.
I giggled curling into my mum and dad watching a movie.
----
I woke up, having been in Australia for five months now. I cuddled into the sweater. My birthday was today. Quite frankly, being seventeen was shit. Just because I felt shit.
I remembered the box, so I pulled it out my draw and opened it. There I found a necklace and ring. The necklace had a locket attached, so I opened it, one picture was of the whole group. The next side had the words engraved 'Forever and always-Justin x' I broke down in tears, putting the necklace on.
"Happy birthday honey!" Mum and Dad walked in. Holding a small box.
"Just leave me alone.." I mumbled.
"You going to have to go out sometime soon.."
"You also said two months. But that didn't happen. You decided to live here." I snapped back. Mum backed away, shocked and upset.
"Honey... Please..." She croaked. I slid out of bed. Walked to my wardrobe and pulled out a Pierce the veil tank top, and dark denim shorts.
"Get out then." And they did.
----
I walked along the beach. Having a faint tan since I got here. I let the sand get in between my toes, and the water to wash over them. I rubbed my finger over the locket before walking back to the house. Which wasn't too far away.
"Mum, is that house back in America on sale?" I asked. She shook her head.
"No, why?"
"I don't want to live here." I said.
Justin
I stood in my garage with the band... Except Maddy. We started playing I'm weird by Ghost town. I was singing now. As well as drums which isn't as hard as people think.
Anna checked her phone, and her face lit up. But she his it instantly, deleting whatever she saw. Today was Maddy's birthday...
"Justin, you have to let her go." Sarah sighed.
"She said two months. Its been five." I mumbled.
"I know..." Anna whispered.
----
I sat at home, mum placed dinner in front of me. I just stared at it, pushing it around the plate.
"Justin, you haven't ate a meal in a month, all you have eaten is an apple." Mum sighed.
"I'm not hungry." I replied, standing up and walking upstairs to my room.
