Hello Jello:) Yes, I shall try to upload as often, and I'd really appreciate it if you vote, comment and fan. I really want to know how I'm doing and if you have any advice, please don't be afraid to comment. No, I don't hate Christmas, nor am I blind. LOL If I was, I think it would be much harder to write this story. Anyways, enjoy. :D Oh, and I changed the title to "On A Hazy Day"
xoxo,
Carole
*whoops* I didn't mean to post this yet...so it'll be in the process of being written as we go along :$
** Edit: I've decided that I'm done with this part...I'll just make a part 2 to this.
Chapter 3 - Freeview Academy
I groaned and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes as my alarm clock started blaring some music out loud. Rihanna again? It's getting quite annoying. I do like her music, but not when it's played a BILLION times! I threw off the covers and started to regret that. It was freezing! I shivered and went to my drawer to get my uniform. What day was it again? Oh right... Monday. Back to school, Yippee (note the sarcasm). I was a good student, but I was always taken advantage of because I couldn't see or the teachers would think I was incapable, although I was perfectly fine.
I hopped into the shower and just let the warm water try to wash away my worries. This was a new school, a fresh beginning, and let's just hope they don't openly celebrate Christmas. I absolutely HATE Christmas.
Once I was ready, and my hair was dry, I went downstairs to make breakfast for my mom, Lauren and I. Everything seemed so big and far now, I thought as I tried to find the fridge where the eggs and bacon were. I heard Lauren's little feet as she walked slowly down the staircase.
"Lexxyy, awe you making bweakfast?" she called out to me. Everyone always said Lauren was the cutest thing and that we looked quite alike, but I'd never get to see her face or her smile.
"Yup, eggs and bacon. Want your eggs sunnyside up?" I asked her.
"I like sunny eggs!" Lauren giggled as she took a seat at the table. Lauren knew I was blind, so she too tried to be independant.
I chuckled and asked her, "Is mommy still sleeping?"
"Nope," Lauren said popping the "p". "She left earlier this mooorrning."
"Then why didn't she wake me?" I said astounded.
"I think mommy said that you looked tired."
"Oh... well where are you supposed to go then while I'm off to school?"
"To the ne- neighbours house. They have twins who are my age there! And their names are Connor and Chelsea!"
"Well, okay then." I said as I slid the eggs and bacon onto Lauren's plate. She chomped noisily. "You sound like a dinasour, chew quietly," I chuckled.
"Omnomnomnom," Lauren giggled.
Once we were done breakfast, Lauren put on her jacket, hat, scarf, mitts and boots, all by herself. I felt like such a proud sister. I picked up my bag and grabbed the house keys. "Come on Laur, let's go."
Lauren went crazy as she saw all the fluffy white snow. She jumped up and down and threw snow up into the air. Lauren went to the door and rang the bell. Someone opened the door. They smelled like freshly baked muffins. "Hi there," the woman said cheerfully. "You must be Alexis and Lauren. I'm Alison McCally, Chelsea, Connor and Luke's mom."
"Hello," I smiled and Lauren followed suit with a smile.
I heard giggles erupt from behind Mrs. McCally, and assumed it was either Chelsea or Connor. "Hi there, I'm Chelsea" a soft voice said.
"Hi, my name is Lauren" Lauren said shyly. She had glanced up at the other two kids and decided that they were friendly.
There were a few awkward seconds before Mrs. McCally spoke up, "Conor, say hi,"
"Hi," Connor whispered.
"Well then Lauren, have fun with your new friends. It was nice meeting you Mrs. McCally and thanks for having Lauren over," I said smiling.
"Oh, call me Alison," she said.
"Okay, thanks again Alison, see ya later Lauren!"
I started retreating back the path, towards the school. I heard voices behind me and I quickened my pace ever so slightly. I had a good idea of where the school was since my mom actually gave me a small tour of the neighbourhood, but I was still bound to get lost.
I let out a small shriek as a pair of warm hands enclosed around my eyes. I started screaming, "RAPE RAPE!" And kicked the person where the sun didn't shine. I heard a groan and an "ow."
"Alex, you don't recognize me?" a familiar voice said.
"Only my friends call me Alex," I said with a playful grin. "So Luke, do you normally go around just scaring innocent girls?"
"Ouch, you kick hard," Luke laughed. "Nah, I saw you leave from my house as I was going downstairs so I decided to follow you."
"You're a stalker too?"
He chuckled, "Now, now Alex, we can't have the whole world know my dirty little secrets."
I scoffed and we continued to march on the sidewalk. I made sure I could feel him brush against me so I wouldn't fall or lose him. I wasn't so sure if he knew I was blind yet. I think it'd be a fun prank if he didn't know. I chuckled to myself evilly.
"We're here!" Luke announced cheerfully. He received looks from many of the other students, and although Alex couldn't see them, she sure could feel that the world had suddenly gone quiet.

Luke's P.O.V.
It was if the whole school had gone quiet. They were all staring, but Alex didn't seem to look fazed at all. What was with this girl?
All the girls had pulled up their skirts and pulled down their shirts or stopped to stare envious of Alex, I didn't know. The guys were either looking pissed off because their girlfriends weren't looking or them or the guys were drooling after Alex.
