I slowly open my eyes feeling a little lost. My body feels heavy and my mind cloudy as I look around the room. Where the hell am I? I frown before recognizing the desk standing by the window with the white lamp and purple binders. Right, I'm at dad's house.
I stretch as I lay on the cover on the bed, listening to the birds singing outside. Wow, I feel so strange, my body is not happy with me right now. I should have slept a little on the plane. I pull myself up to a sitting position, shaking my head slightly, trying to get out of this Haze. I stretch my neck which feels stiff and make a move to stand up. I should go help out my dad, he's probably up to his head with things to do.
I walk down the stairs and is about to go into the little study around the corner when a voice stops me.
"Your dad went out for a little while." He say from the couch in the living room. I totally forgot that he was here. My heart has started beating a little quicker, but I force my breathing to stay calm. I don't even know what I looked like. I take a few steps inside the living room and clearly see him sitting at the end of the couch, watching something on the TV.
"Did he say when he was coming back?" I ask, yawning. I feel so confused, my mind is so slow.
"No. Did you get some sleep? I know you didn't get much on the plane." He say, eyeing my tired face and I frown. "Oh, come on! I've seen you sleep before, I know what you look like." He say and raises one eyebrow. I feel my face getting red. I couldn't fool him.
"What time is it?" I ask ignoring his statement, sitting down on the armrest of the couch. It's a little, or a lot, weird to have a normal conversation with Link.
"It's a little past two." He say and my eyes get big. Wow, I slept for a while. "Do you wanna get something to eat?" He ask, his voice sweet.
"Are you hungry?" I ask and look away from his stare.
"I'm starving." He chuckles, making me smile.
"Sure. I just have to fix this mess." I say and point to my hair, that I know is like a birds nest on my head.
"You don't want birds living there?" He smirk at me. I shake my head with a smile and stand up and walk up the stairs to the bathroom to fix my hair and check my clothes.
So, I'm hanging with Link. Who would have thought? Thankfully he seems to keep this nice act up, so I don't have to kill him right now. But we'll see what happens, I might change my mind later. I smile at myself.
I walk back down after picking my purse from my room. I realized that I haven't put on my phone since the flight. As soon as I do it starts to beep from messages after messages. I stand at the end of the stairs, feeling Link eyes on me. Oh shit! I forgot to tell Lea that I've arrived.
"I forgot to tell Lea and Daniel that we've landed." I say to Link, still looking at my phone, answering his stare.
"Don't tell them I'm here." He say and I look up frowning. What?
"Why?" I say, dragging the word out. He didn't tell them?
"Do you want to explain it to them?" He ask, raising his eyebrows.
"Well, I don't know why you are here, so that's a little hard to do." I say, my voice sounding harsher than I intended it to. He look at me and I think I see a flash of hurt in his eyes before he looks towards the TV and then back at me.
"Do you wanna explain to Daniel about the first time we met?" He say already knowing the answer, and it's my time to look away and I feel my cheeks flush again.
"No." I mumble before pressing call on Daniel in my phone. I take a deep breath, I hate lying to people.
"Where the hell have you've been?" He answer, his voice in panic. Oops!
