Dear Meggie,
The play was really great. Their adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream was absolutely to die for. Tate loved the acting. Her and I hung out afterwards at some really high-end restaurant. Apparently Tate has a lot of money, since her parents are always feeling really bad for her.
I tried not to order the most expensive thing on the menu. Tate and I kept messing around, earning scowls from the other people around us.
Such as throwing straws at each other. Making bubbles in our drinks. Launching small bits of napkin from our silverware.
We don’t have this much fun anymore, Meggie.
While Tate and I were waiting for our food, she suddenly said, “Do you mind if maybe I invited someone else?”
“Like who?”
“Like my partner.”
“No problem.”
And so she did. And Tate’s “partner” was this gorgeous, tall brunette girl. And so she messed around with us too.
You did not have so fun of a night.
I relayed to you all we did, while you relayed to me about how Will just would not kiss you goodnight. I don’t know why he didn’t, to be honest.
I feel better.
