The night was quiet uneventful

We went to the cinema, watched a movie with mum and dad sharing a popcorn and me and Brandon sharing the other

Correction: Brandon ate the popcorn and left me the hard corn pieces that weren’t cooked that are always left at the bottom

After that, father got a sudden craving for cheese cake and Brandon added that he’d fancy a coke. So we ended up heading to a café near by

I was reluctant to go of course since I felt like I was cheating on Starbucks

Actually the only significant event that happened was me, Barndon and my parents debating about what to play in the car

They wanted to play ‘Hey Jude’ by The Beetles while Brandon and I wanted something by Imagine Dragons

The fifteen minute ride passed without any songs since the CDs were at the back and I refused to give mum their CD while she refused to play ours. The debate had successfully lasted twenty minutes since we kept arguing about which band was more famous and had more hits than the other

The debate ended with both opinions still standing

Yes, dear reader, I have such a stubborn family

The one who ended the debate was my ever so wise mother saying that their generation had their songs while we have ours. That statement got Brandon, father and I to grumble something about how the others generation was ‘Rotten and no good’

We all entered the house, bid our good night blessings and went to bed

I slept peacefully without any disturbing or stress whatsoever

          Yeah, right

          That hadn’t quiet happened

You see, I am a Night-Owl and the definition of a Night-Owl is a person who tends to stay up until late at night

Take my word for it, I Googled it

I was up till about two in the morning, reading an E-book I found online

‘I’m not a good guy, Mia, I never was. But you’re just too innocent to realize it’

I held the tablet with both hands, gripping it so tightly as if I can talk some sense into Henry if I grip it tight enough to make him realize that he’s telling his soul mate that to let go of him and that this is the biggest regret he’ll have in his life

‘I don’t care if you’re Hitler himself, god damn it! I’m in love with you, you big buffoon! I’m not ever letting you go. You’ll always be a good guy in my eyes, heck, you’ll be the best guy I ever met even if you killed a person.’

My grip of the tablet got tighter (I’m pretty sure I’ll break it soon enough). That was it! The moment I’ve been waiting for ever since Mia and Henry first laid eyes on each other

He sighed and looked at the floor, suddenly finding it more interesting.  But then he looked back up at me, and his eyes were the most confusing to me.

His eyes shown regret, guilt and anger. Somehow, I knew those three strong emotions weren’t just directed at me

Kiss her for God’s sake!

I almost yelled at the screen

‘But the thing is, Mimi’

For the first time, my heart didn’t flutter when he used my nickname
