This is it! The moment of truth! We'll slice this damn boulder! Oniichan is watching us right now. We shouldn't disappoint him! "Ready, Obanai-Kun?!!"

"HAI!" Obanai-Kun and I dash forward at the same time but from different directions. There! I see a thin line of thread!

*SLICE!*

I look up and see the boulder sliced into four parts perfectly. We use actual swords.

We did it! Obanai-Kun and I finally managed to slice that gigantic boulder oniichan found a few years ago! Kinda think of it, why is there a giant boulder here? This place is not even a mountain area. Hmm... meh, I don't care.

"Nice! We finally did it!" I walk towards Obanai-kun.

"Yeah. That boulder finally tasted defeat. Don't you think so, Kyojuro-Kun?" I just nod with agreement.

"Well done you two. I'm proud of you." Oniichan suddenly appears behind us and pats our heads. I smile. There's always a warm sensation inside of me every time he did that. So this is what you'll feel when you have a strong bond with someone.

"Oniichan! We did it! After the Final Selection is over, we'll be official Demon Slayers!" And I'll get to see him more often! I won't let anyone take him away again! I mean, he didn't return for three years straight!!! Of course, I'm upset! Kocho siblings... just you wait! I'll surpass both of you!

"Yoru-Kun, do you think... that we'll survive?" Obanai-Kun suddenly asks.

"Hmm? Still doubting yourself, Obanai-Kun? Of course, you both will be just fine. But if you are worried that much, then I have two advice for you. First, team up with others. There is no such rule saying that you can't work together. Second, use your anger to push yourself further, but you must be conscious of your own actions. Woah! Oniichan is so smart! I've never thought of teaming up with other participants before. But the second one... use my anger?

"Oniichan! Have you ever used the second method before?" I must know! If he says yes, then that means he used to be angry. Something must have made him upset!

Okay. That's it. I prefer oniichan doesn't get angry at all.

"It's getting late. Let's go home. Both of you will depart next morning."

"Okay oniichan!/Yoru-kun!" Obanai-kun and I say at the same time.

"The Wisteria flowers are beautiful, just like how Yoru-Kun described to us a long time ago."
