Forgiveness

I jolt from my slumber and accidentally awake the sleepy Kyojuro. Oops.

"*Yawn* What's wrong oniichan? Do you have a nightmare?"

"Uh... Not really..." Do I have a nightmare? IT'S WORSE THAN A NIGHTMARE! I THOUGHT THAT I ALMOST DIED!!!

Apparently, since I was been told to rest, Lord Lucky decides to demonstrate her killing skills so that I could somehow learn something new. Surprisingly, she summons carnivorous dinosaurs.

Oh, wait. I shouldn't be surprised. She told me that she used to kill gigantic monsters before. But witnessing the slaughter before my own eyes is a whole different story. It sends shivers down my spine.

I rub my eyes and take a deep breath. I want to forget what I saw for now. "Oh look! It's dawn. Wanna watch the sunrise with me, otouto?"

As I said that, Kyojuro's face lighten up. "Sure! Do we need to wake Obanai-Kun and Senjuro-Kun too?"

"No need to. They're still asleep. Let's go. I'll carry you."

"What? Wait- aah!" Without waiting for his approval, I carry him on my back and jump out of the window. We're living in is one storey house, so there's no harm doing it even if someone is a normal human being. But that's just the beginning.

"Hang on tight," I warn him before I speed off, jumping from roof to roof. Kyojuro is unaccustomed to my ninja speed so he grips me tighter, afraid of falling off. A few moments later, we reach the last rooftop before entering the forest. Kyojuro might expect me to jump down because I heard his sigh of relief.

Sorry, but that's not happening.

At the edge of the roof, I jump three times higher than before. "Aaaaaaaaaaaah!" Kyojuro closes his eyes and hugs me tighter. Oh don't worry Kyojuro, I've got everything under control.

I land on a tree branch and continue to jump. Kyojuro opens his eyes and is clearly amazed. "Woah! Oniichan, this is so cool!"

"Hn. Glad you like it." I reply shortly. Heheheheh... you think that it's over?

Sigh... I wish I could smirk.

We reach an area with huge stones all over the hill slope. I take some huge leaps in the zig-zag pattern. It makes Kyojuro a little bit dizzy but he manages to ask, "Oniichan, is this the place where you found the boulder that Obanai-Kun and I sliced before?"

"Hn." Please take that as a yes. *Anime sweat*

Of course not! The truth is, I used Madara's Earth Release to create it, including the extra boulders that Sabito, Giyu, and Makomo sliced back at Sagiri Mountain. There's still one more boulder that remains, reserved for Tanjiro in the upcoming future.

I continue to jump until we reach the tallest tree on top of the hill. "We're here." I put down Kyojuro on the tree branch and I sit beside him.

"Oniichan, do you always come here to watch the sunrise?"

"Hmm... not really. I am usually sleeping from morning till noon or evening. But, because I fell asleep earlier, I think I can stay up at this hour."

Kyojuro looks hesitant. "Oniichan, what kind of dreams you had? Why did you always jolt up from your sleep?"

Oh no... prepare the half-truth answer! "It's nothing. The dreams are... mostly about fighting, so yeah, it jolts me back to reality. *Shivers* Please don't remind me."

"Oh, okay. If you say so." Seeing me shivers prevents Kyojuro from asking further. Perfect. Now, to get back on track so he won't ponder too much on this matter.

"Look over there, otouto. It's starting." I point my pointer finger towards the gap between the other two hills where some orange light streak appears.

"Woah! It's breathtaking!" Kyojuro glued his eyes to the scenery in front of him.

"Hn. This is an apology for waking you up to numerous times before." I take a glance at my twin and immediately avert my eye gaze to the scenery.

"The sunrise?"

"*Sigh* Not just that because I knew that the sunrise isn't special enough. It has been a long time since you heard me sang, right? Wanna hear me sing?"

"*Gasp!* Yes, please! I missed hearing your singing!"

Hmm... I guess I'll choose 'Moon' by Jin, a BTS member.

Kyojuro suddenly hugs me and smiles with his eyes closed. "I forgive you, oniichan. I just missed you very much. Thank you for being here."

I return his hug and stroke his back. "You too. Thank you for accepting me as a part of your life. I'll do whatever I can to make you happy..." And to make sure you're safe from the Train Arc.

The hug last for a few seconds. "Otouto, lets go home before father wakes up and noticed that we're missing."

"Oh crap, you're right! Lets go now!" I carry Kyojuro on my back and dash towards our house. But this time, I use more chakra so that I'll go four times faster than before. I only take one huge leap to get down from the hill. Kyojuro is overwhelmed by the sudden speed change that he grips me very tightly and shuts his eyes tight, not wanting to see the nerve-racking view.

Sorry Kyojuro, but I had to.

I hope that father isn't awake yet... or we might get in trouble. *Sweat*
