[Sigh... I messed up the timeline, AGAIN. Giyu was supposed to meet Sabito when they're thirteen. But in this fanfic, they met earlier because I forgot that damn teeny weeny fact. If you're writing Kimetsu No Yaiba fanfic too, I hope that you won't commit the same mistake as I did unless you don't give a single damn. Because most of the story is messed up, I hereby declare that this story is OOC (Out Of Canon). I'll try my best to keep some correct facts 'alive'.]

No one's POV

"Ow! Be a more careful lady! OW!" Sabito yells because of how rough Shinobu tends his wound. She's really annoyed because Sabito insisted to tend his own wound even though she already told him that it's part of her medical practice. She still has her signature grumpy face.

"Shinobu-chan, that's not very nice. Why don't you be more gentle?" Kanae turns her head and smiles kindly at her beloved sister. She's helping a Kakushi to tend Makomo's broken arm.

Shinobu grits her teeth. "Fine... but only because you said so, nee-san."

"Eeeehh? Not 'nee-chan' anymore? Aww... why do you change your mind so suddenly?" Shinobu just ignores Kanae's question and continues what she's doing. Kanae sweatdrops seeing Shinobu's lack of response.

After she's done bandaging Sabito's neck...less roughly..., Shinobu goes to the next person on the opposite bed. Giyu. "I'm warning you. Shut up and stay still while I'm doing my job. I have a very thin line of patience." Shinobu glares at Giyuu before tending his wound. Giyu didn't even budge nor saying a single word because he takes the threat very seriously. He didn't want to upset her, which will result in him ending up just like Sabito.

"Ara ara, which demon did this to a sweet girl like you?" Kanae asks Makomo.

"His strength doesn't match his appearance and his moves are blurry. I'm not sure if he's part of the Twelve Demon Moons or not. He never mentions it nor his identity. He's searching for someone but their connection is unknown to us."

"Does he has kanji letters on any of his eyes?"

"Huh? No, he doesn't. Why did you ask?"

"Yoru-san told us how to identify the real Twelve Demon Moons members by looking at their irises! The demons with a kanji letter on one eye are lower moons meanwhile the others with kanji letters on both eyes are upper moons!" Kanae claims jubilantly.  She didn't notice the boys are shocked after eavesdropping on their conversation. Makomo just blinks a few times. She too is surprised to know this revelation. 

Sabito grips the bedsheet as he grit his teeth. "That means... we just had been beaten by a non-member of Twelve Demon Moons. We're still weak. Giyu, let's train harder right after we healed! We can't stay to be this pathetic!" Sabito looks very determined. He fist-pumped above to the air. Giyuu's lip forms a smile. He wants to nod and say something but he can't because Shinobu is giving him a death glare. The glare sends a well-understood message behind it,...' try it and you'll suffer.

"That's... interesting. I shall keep that in mind. Is there anything else he told you?" Makomo is now curious. She wonders what else Yoru knew.

"He told us that the lower moons are weaker than the upper moons. They are usually replaced numerous times because the Pillars managed to kill them. But the upper moons are on a much higher level. They managed to kill many Pillars before. They haven't been replaced for a long time. Some demons like to boast that they're one of the Twelve Demon Moons when they actually aren't even one, which confused Demon Slayers. So, that's why we have recovery training! Yoru made the whole training regiment with three different levels. 'Easy', 'Medium' and 'Hard'! Isn't that thoughtful?" Kanae clasps her hand.
