'We should wait for Leonard. ' Raj piped up.
'Leonard's help is rendered useless here,' Sheldon said stiffly. He had eaten the humble pie and got Leonard's phone number from the.school office to text him, and the only reply he got was a harsh no thank you. If they wanted to win this, he wasn't going to waste time persuading someone with a mere IQ of 173 on his team.
'I'm sorry Sheldon, I'm not well-versed in designing such experiments.' Howard admitted.
'I thought you said you wanted to be an architect in the future!'
'Well, I never said I was good at it.' Howard grinned sheepishly. 'How about we get arts faculty to help?'
'Good Lord, no!' Sheldon protested.
'It's better than nothing! Cmon Sheldon, is it better to win something even if it means sharing the limelight or lose altogether? ' Howard exclaimed.
'Let me think about it. ' Sheldon conceded.
'I think Howard has already 'helped you decide,' Raj raised an eyebrow as the back door of the otherwise secluded classroom opened.
'Excuse me, who are you?' Sheldon frowned.
'I'm Penny. Howard called me here.' The pretty blond smiled brightly. Raj's eyes widened and Howard's grin got larger.
'Penny has won several awards as well as starred in major plays,' Howard winked flirtatiously at her.
'How can she help lead our team to victory then?' Sheldon crossed his arms over his chest, annoyed.
'I can design. ' Penny stepped forward boldly.
Sheldon raised an eyebrow skeptically. 'Very well.'
'In return, you have to help my team too. ' Penny smirked. He seemed like a pretty quirky guy. Nice to tease but definitely a tough nut to crack.
'Deal.' Sheldon extended a hand stiffly, which Penny promptly shook. He felt a sudden warm sensation course from his palm down his arm, quickly dismissing the strange feeling as a case of nerves and social anxiety.
After all, it was his first interaction with a girl.
